{“When you and the President sought our support for the Affordable Care Act, you pledged that if we liked the health plans we have now, we could keep them. Sadly, that promise is under threat,” letter said.“Right now, unless you and the Obama Administration enact an equitable fix, the ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour workweek that is the backbone of the American middle class.” Letter from representatives of three of the nation’s largest unions to Democratic Sens. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.}
------
Well unions, despite all attempts to convince you otherwise, you voted for it. You actively, vocally supported it. Richard Trumpka stood right out there screaming "we won!!", and bragged about how they were now able to give union workers affordable health care.

Note, the unions aren't calling for repeal - yet - they just want special favoritism again, so the same rules don't apply to them.

It's clear the lawmaker considered that businesses would thwart the law by reducing the hours of their workers to under 40, which is why they deemed a full work week 30 hours. Now these companies will just start making more positions part time. They'll need more people to fill the added part time positions, so they'll claim employment will be up, but really it will just be the transformation of America into part time workers for the middle class.

Liberalism in action.

But they already have special favoritism. I guess it must have run out. They applied and were granted waivers to NOT have to go along with some of the mandates. I guess that wasn't good enough?

The unions know to put pressure on Obama now, before the 2014 midterms, when the dems still need their vocal support, because after the midterms Obama and the dems will have virtually no need whatsoever for any of the people he's taken advantage of, and they can bitch up a blue streak for all he'll care.

Precisely!

As it is enough reality is starting to seep through to give Obamacare supporters a cold shower on the whole mess - and there's still over a year of "seepage" to go before the mid-terms.

You'll never convince to low-educated voter that Obamacare is wrong. They've tuned out long ago and are content with just having reelected Obama. That's all they were interested in. AND, the unions will likely get their appeasement form this administration in the nick of time to keep them fat and happily plugging for the democrats. BUT, hopefully enough individuals have seen enough reality and scandal by then to get past the styrofoam columns and sparkly promises.
