WeLLLLLL, you might just be one of a KIND there maj1123. I have rented to some people and my estimates are exactly this, many, many renters are VERY much VERY removed and most do not have the ability to at least understand what responsibility is in the upkeep! but rather "TRASH & BASH" of other peoples homes and property and then not pay, yes those that reach out and repectfuly try to help those that need a place to LIVE. But many, many have no regard much less respect and appreciation. These are just a few of my experiences and you know, I guess I will always still try to find that good tenant such as yourself. So keep up the super, you are commendable.(Scuse my spelling)

First of all Anderson DOES NOT own Arbor Mortgage, he was the owner of Commonpoint Mortgage for years till it went bankrupt in the late 90's. and yes he is the brother of Al Anderson and AAA Auto Sales. The apple does not fall far from the tree in this case......

Michael Anderson is bad bad news. He is involved with more than minor scams. I was in the biz for quite a few years and was told not to question him...just do what he asks and not encourage him to come back. I heard he had something to do with a mans ear being bit off this was before Mike Tyson made it famous. This is just a rumor I heard so I cannot say it is fact, but I bet anyone that has ever had any dealings with Michael and is reading this will be able to shed more light on this subject. He is the reason brokers have a bad name and our country is in the shape it is in. Ultimatley it our governments fault for letting criminals be involved in mortgage lending. Criminal back ground checks and yearly reviews of these con artists for licensing would have stopped a lot of this mortgage crisis. I actually attended a closing where the broker/loan officer plead guilty to breaking and entering into a close realtives house 5 years earlier. Imagine how difficult it was for me to listen to this person talk about the benefit of this refinance and know that he had access to that persons personal information. Scarey!!!!

If it was not for people like Anderson and the low lives he hired to do mortgage loans, the U.S. would not be in some of this mess. Remember Anderson is only one of many, who pray on people and their down falls. Allowing people to cut and paste peoples credit reports behind closed and locked doors, would only come back to bite them in the rear.... In this case it bit all of us in the rear..........When will we learn If it sounds to easy there is probably some thing wrong with it

I worked for him years ago. He is a very nice person but his practices are below standards. We need to monitor these practices more so things like this don't happen more often. Just because you close your eyes to something, does not mean it is not happening..

I remember that ear situation ask the owner of Arbor Mortgage about that one, it happen in a bar downtown and the person who did it was transferred out of town to work so he would not be charged

I have owned rental properties for many years now and have had very few instances with disrespectful tenants. I have a great management company that works hard to keep my properties in nice shape and to find good tenants.

Mike Anderson's business had several different names, one was Allied Mortgage. When we had business dealings with him, there were 3 different names on the windows. That should have been a red flag to us, but we thought there were 3 different businesses in the office.

My friend owns a few rental properties and the economy has forced him to lower rents just so people can afford them. He has only had 1 really bad tenant, a young woman with a bunch of kids who totally destroyed the place. They wrote on every wall, plugged up the kitchen and bathroom sink, left a mountain of trash in the backyard and the list goes on.
He found out the hard way you need to do a thourgh background check, not just a credit check.

Playing by the rules doesn't work and in the end the people who do no wrong get hurt. It's high time the punishment in this country met the crime and this one deserves a beatdown.

I couldn't locate Mike Anderson or One Step Realty on the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors website - www.grar.com . What's the deal with that?
My guess is that they're not a member of the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS. You can have a real estate license and sell real estate without being a member of the Association and adhering to their standards. Sounds like One Step Realty is One Step from integrity.

Without One step reality I dont know what I would have done. My house stayed empty for over a year. I contacted One Step and they found me a tenent in less than a month I couldnt have been happier.
I think the media just hears one side of a story and runs with it...Anything for a story right!! I recomend this company to any during these hard economic times!! My thoughts are with you One step and keep up the great work you have helped out alot of people!!!
