Your reply on nutrition was interesting....The changes in diet in a single generation can show a profound effect...now picture this carried on for a few generations...as it has in America...Then per Darwin the basic human being is bigger...I would expect that this has a large positive effect on life span, provided we are just talking nutrition...When we add the wonders of modern chemistry then they grow to beastly sizes and die younger ...Some of those steroid animals like Lyle Alzado had cut their lifespans almost in half...I also wonder if the chemistry fuels some of the more outrageous behavior...both the violent kind and the 'Sherman ' kind...Can't get too excited one way or the other about medal count, Some countries like the Netherlands are specialists...The Dutch virtually swept the speed skating and didn't compete elsewhere...The only medal count that I gave a crap about was mens and womans hockey and we know what the count there was....

Wow, i had a whole post disappear.....The effect on lifestyle is the obesity that follows this trend...only a tenth of 1% will ever get a cup-a-coffee, with any NFL team....Speaking of Alzado, the Stork, Ted Hendricks was at the Combine...He was a terror....he was in the movie, Conan the Barbarian....lol.....Miami graduate...Watching this thing, i think Houston should take Clowney at #1....He is a freak...ran the forty better than only 2-3 DB's....Plus what he lacks in work ethic, JJ Watts can keep on his ass.....Let the Brown's roll the dice on Johnny Football.....The Dutch are great at Skating and swimming....has alot to do with their culture and the terrain there.....Was in Amsterdam once, and it is beautiful....Best Art Museum i was ever in is the Riktmuseum there...they have a smaller area devoted totally to Van Gogh.....complete with his sketches and letters between him and his brother, Theo....Unforgetable.....Hope your feelin better?

I seen Clowney's 40 that man is amazing if he showed up to play every down of every game...there would be no way to block him...another guy who's work out was jaw dropping Kevin Pierre-Louis a LB from Boston College he was 4.51 a 39 inch vertical and at the tops on the bench...Mack was 4.65, fast but human fast his bench was good and his vertical was 40 inches..levitation..... The guy who didn't help himself was Barr who was weak on the bench...Van Noy didn't shoot the light out either...There are about 125 Div Ia college teams, god knows how many div Iaa , divII & III and only 32 NFL teams...The odds are stacked against you..That why I get amazed when some guy just throws it away...Mike Williams WR Tampa is from Buffalo there have been a couple stories about his house being a party house hundreds of 911 calls..stripper poles...Lovie Smith wasn't amused said Williams might have to go...NHL restarted Buffalo beat Carolina...Miller was sharp...The new GM said He will be traded....I will forget about the olympics in a week...

I think the film on Van Noy is gonna show his tremendous instinctual gifts, and i am fascinated by where he goes....he reminds me of Jack Ham, another LB that made great plays, often on instints....Another kid...Pryor, a safety is said to be the top hitter....Gold for me......lol...Have you seen anything on a QB, Garappolo.....They really liked alot about him on NFL channel, mostly Mike Mayock and Todd Whatsis.....I guess the Blackhawks are in another Winter game at Soldier's Field on Saturday......i thought one, maybe two of these games were fascinating and unique....the NHL's corporate greed took over and dictated 5-6 Winter Classics must be better....Geesh.......You know, that tall QB at Tampa may be worth the effort....Lovie should build around him.....I think the Dolphins are likewise set with Tannehill.....Have you ever seen his wife?....She is beyond, blonde hotty....lol.....

The Fins need some O-Line help before they can say what they have in Tannehill...he has shown that he has the tool, but at times he hasn't had the chance to show he can win with those tools...the Tampa QB Glenning (?) has a strong arm was a solid college player at NC state, but his team is so woeful that you can't be sure of what you have...Van Noy's being a step slow might put him in the second round, maybe limit him to two downs at first, he is a perfect 3-4 inside lb...Garappalo played at Eastern Illinois...saw him play one time so I can't say...the draft people have him a 2nd or 3rd round pick...The NHL having too many winter classics is no suprise here...The NHL's modis aperendi...Get a good idea and beat it to death..they won't stop until they kill the concept... I love that game Blue but you and I could run the league better than Bettman....

Before retiring, i used to do business with and liked one of the ex-NHL Commissioners....nicest wife too...his name excapes me now...She is a leader in the Humane Society there....they raise Cavalier King Charles spaniels.....wish i could recall his name...from Michigan, like me.....Anyway, anxious to have the hockey back...i mostly like watching Detroit and Chicago's games.....the Redwings lost a player, maybe Fetterberg...duringthe Olympics.....Garappolo may be a good choice for teams that need a QB, but need to fill a spot first.....This does'nt seem like a Qb-rich draft anyway.....Dolphins need to get Jonothon Martin back, before they waste another high pick on O-Line.....he was a 2nd round pick.....Van Noy would be a decent MLB pick for the Bears.....

the Bears have a spot at middle LB that needs to be filled so Van Noy could work there..his work out particulars were similar to Teo and he was good for San Diego. The Bears are a 4-3 aren't they...i like Van Noy as the 3-4 inside 'backer we'll see. Or Garappalo could be a good pick for a team with an older QB that way Garappalo will have the proper time to ferment...It's a big step from D-IAA to the NFL Flacco was an exception. The Red Wings will miss Zetterberg The Islanders have two guys hurt hockey is a dangerous game...The Buffalo News said last night most likely will be the last time we see Miller in friendly colors...St.Louis is the most likely team but Minnesota and Washington were also said to be interested the writer claimed that every team in the NHL except Pheonix. The Rangers, Boston and one other team i can't recall had someone present so it aught to be a big garage sale....Colin Campbell?

Actually as a fan, i am usually down on the Bears and Raiders....but, i don't think the Bears are that far away.....the Raiders are eons away......Like that new Vikings coach, Mike Zimmer....great defensive mind with a chip on his shoulder....alway's a good combo....bad part is, i think the Vikes play at Minnesota for a year.....I like Teo but don't think he is gonna be great...Van Noy has waay better instincts and movement....Sabres-Bruins tonite, eh?....I may be able to see some of that...Too bad losing Miller....kinda like Pittsburgh Pirate fans....BTW, the Bruins have that large, hulking line with Kreci and Bergeron and another french-canadian....maybe?

The bears aren't that far away... if they had respectable QB play, instead of dorking around with Cutlett they would have been a much better team...They need to come to the conclusion that Cuticle is not a winner... The Raiders are a joke....The Sabers have a better chance of bringing home the hardware...The last GM had butchered the Sabers...provoked the firing of Ruff and set the team back by years...By putting it off the team is forced to try to cash in Miller, Moulson and Ott..maybe more the new GM says no one is sacred...he is also taking with Nolan about a long term deal...This year we bottom out and next year we see which prospects stick...we will still lose but it is progress. We got more single digit temperatures today...tomorrow. The cold and snow can be a beautiful thing...check this out.......

I hit a sore spot? It wasn't the intent... I was assuming that you agreed on Cutler...I believe that the bears are a couple players away...possibly Van Noy definately a new QB...Or was it the raiders?....It just like the sabers record during the last couple seasons, or the years of losing records the bills have stacked up... If you wanna take a cut at the bills sabers or bulls ...Don't be suprised if i agree...if it's accurate...
Anyway those pictures are worth the look...

That's cool...Actually i am never sure of Cutler's head, but he has sic skills....Bear's fired Lovey at 10-6...still a head scratcher, and the defense suffered.....I actually got to watch a bit of that Sabre win, at least during the commercials ....lol.....Liked the photos...how far are you from the falls?....Having never been there, i would guess it's on the same awesome scale of Grand Canyon....and i recall that....all that much ice can be a big catastrophe later on......Actually, for me.....the older i get, i think i am less teamcentric......Like your win over the Bruins would fill me, for awhile.....Also FYI.....Lucic was the other scary face on the Bruin line, i spoke of befroe....With his flinty, slit eyes and nose evidently broken at the top.....he looks exactly like a self-portrait of the artist Paul Gaugiun....I took several Art History courses in College and the resemblance is freaky....but i still get chills,,,lol,,, thinking of that line, dominating the Blackhawk's zone, during the Finals,,,,,,

Those winter photo's are cool ....we are about 20 miles from the falls...It isn't quite on the scale of the Grand Canyon...If you include the rapids above the falls and the gorge below it it is only a few miles long. But Niagara fallls is a neat little town a good slice of americana...A bit of p.t barnum a bit of the industrial robber barron past, remember 'Love Canal'?Niagara Falls has some of the largest Brownfields I have seen....Dow chemical and Hooker chemical.....Milan Lucic has been a real headache for the Sabres...He has the ability to pull stable players off of their game...Every team needs a couple guys like that...They ain't no fun to play against... You would like our art gallery...The Albright-Knox...A greek styled building next to Delaware Park lake...Home to fat carp that suck down bread balls and give a good fight...I used to take my sisters kids there to teach them how to fish

Two below with a -15 windchill is what they say that you have today...Hope you guys are keeping warm....Gotta tell you a socio-economic trend, i have realized....I look at real estate, almost daily on Topix.....all over the country.....but have really noticed that many northern properties, have accompanying photos of the home in snow.....whatta you think?......I think those folks have thrown in the towel, or why would you ever display a property, you wanna sell....covered in snow.....Does that make sense, or am i nuts?.... or both?....Lucic and a couple other french-canadians on the Bruins are scary good.....Sabre's GM is Teddy Nolan?....He was a great player, was'nt he?....I seem to recall famous fights with him.....

Ted Nolan was marginal as a player. 78 games played, about a seasons worth spread out over 3-4 years 6 goals 16 assists...105 pen. minutes...I remember him as a member of the Rochester Americans for two years he was in the Sabers system...From what i understand he believes alcohol held him back....His son Jordan plays for the L.A. Kings he is a 4th line center...Physical kid....Ted said Miller will start tonight v. San Jose give him one more time in front of the home fans after this game i believe there is only one remaining before the deadline...Selling real estate in the snow belt is a tricky proposition...I would show a summer photo...I assume most of these houses will be locally sold thus...it isn't that big of a deal..The buyer will know what he is looking at....Not all of the Beasts in Boston are frenchies... Thornton, Marchand , Boychuk and Zedno Chara who is a huge menace...The Bruins have always played my kind of a game....miserable to play against ...The influence of Don Cherry never left that team

Do you know if Nolan is a Native-American?....He look's it or a strain of Eskimo....that would easily explain the alcohol hurdle.....The Bruin's Marchand is a helluva player...he's not a frenchie?.....Yeah, it does seem like they have been a physical team for forever....They were great, even though they lost the Cup, in the final....Did you see Lebron with his fask?...Look's like Phantom of the Opera...lol...Gotta give him and Wade props for being class acts and setting such a great example.....I'm down here, and they do a boatload of charity and children's hospitol stuff.....We have the Honda Classic Golf, kinda close here....Tiger lives in Jupiter...played golf in College, but never got as into it, as alotta guys here do.....Are you feeling better?

Hey thanks for asking, the bug is gone the back is still a bit sore. That back will be a constant on and off issue...Nolan was born in Ontario and is Native American..The only French speaking players on the Bruins are Marc Savard and Patrice Bergeron...Dan Paille was born in fort Erie and Brad Marchand is from Halifax...I have the NHL app on my computer...Also the MLS a buddies son is the Goal Keeper for New England..the Buffalo News has soccer standings once a week, no coverage else wise. The World Cup starts in June...Does soccer bore you like 9\10 of folks in the AARP age group?...I am glad to see LeBron And Wade giving back...their pay is sick they should..credit to them that they do...most are not so generous...I have never played serious golf...me and some friends swilling beer and chasing a ball around a 3-par 9 hole course...I was on a country club's course only a couple of times...felt totally out of place, like i had farted in church... with my Happy Gilmore modified hockey game

I thought Nolan looked Native-American.....he should be a significant person for his people.....I studied alot of their history, as to when America was conquered....I like soccar okay, just not as much as rugby or sumo....for sports i have never played....Brazil is gonna have problems being prepared for the Olympics....not sure about the world cup....should be okay, as they don't need as many structures....Brazil is a very laidback culture, not as uptight and anal as Putin with Sochi.....Wife's favorite show, Grimm is on tonight, she had to miss it all through the Olympic coverage....Saw Gruden with Manzeil....Manzeil is a bit sleazy, presenting himself as a simple, small town boy....His folks are loaded and big oil....Wonder if Gruden will see thru him?....This seems a deep draft, but just a bit lite at Qb.....

Brazil is absolutely nuts for soccer they have as many 100,000 seat stadiums as the NCAA...The sites for the non-stadium sports will need to be manufactured...The World Cup will be a useful walk through for them..The fact that the Brazilians are as laid back as they are and not as ruthless as the Russians could cause a security issue...Dee Brown wrote THE history of the conquest of North America..."Bury my heart at wounded knee"...Great book read it multiple times...Visited the reservation a couple days ago to pick up my tax free cigars...They have tee shirts there with i believe it to be Sitting Bull seated surrounded by armed indian warriors...The caption..."The original homeland security...I often wonder how diffrent this place would be if the natives were resistant to small pox...maybe a couple hundred years further along technology wise... really don't see the draft as lite in the QB's... see it as a very good draft that is above average in QB's...Were it is lite is RB

The Sabres made their deal...before the start of tonights game...We send Miller & our Captain Steve Ott 9 goals and a ton of hard work on the year To St. Louis for their starting goalie Jaroslav Halat and beastly forward Chris Stewart 6'3 230 lb ...15 goals a prospect named Courrier...and first rd. pick and another pick those are give on the condition that the blues can sign Miller...Fair value
