Do your own homework - you're the one claiming to be teaching people lessons. I just told you to mind your own business. If that tweaked your widdle wiggley feelings get over it.
Your last comment makes no sense, and considering you're the one thumping your chest around here I'd say it's you who suffer with some kind of tough guy complex. Regardless, it smacks of cyber rambo syndrome. Pretty easy to spout off from behind the safety of your computer, tough guy.
Guess I touched a nerve here...haha
Read the previous post (#32)...you fit the description to the letter.
I did my homework and read back and still can not find any mention of Obama prior to your first post about him in this thread so until you provide justification I have to believe you just need to blame Obama for anything and everything you can every chance you get.

Decent, law abiding citizens are a minority these days and the more we try to cling to a shred of hope we get lofty speeches by weak and shallow people about how darn hard it is to stay civilized when nobody will help anyway. So the answer for you, your friends, liberals, Obama (yes Wiggly I said it) is to give out "freedom" like candy....legalize pot, marry anybody (cat inc), morning after pill for kids!, tax payer funded abortions... it goes on and on.....I wonder what other lifestyle change people will try to legalize so they don't look stupid?

Obama deserves the blame for much of what is going on and we know it. If he is brought up in random conversation most people roll their eyes with a sick look on their face, but Topix is where we can share our feeling and ideas. Are you in disagreement or are your ideas and feeling exclusive?

Seem's your ideas and feelings might be exclusive, to those partisan pockets of America, those unable for whatever reason to see what really happen's in this country.....as President Obama has been elected twice, by a majority of American voters......

Ahhh, the doors you open when you say silly things.
Our country is over 230 years old. Cannibus and Hemp were legal almost 3/4 of that time. In fact, Hemp was once a required crop.
The reasons given to Congress to make Cannibus illegal were outright lies and deception. Even the AMA was misrepresented and made it clear they did not support making it illegal.
Hemp was lumped in so William Randolf Hearst wouldn't lose money from his huge investments in forests that he wanted to harvest for pulp. Hemp was and is a much better alternative but he managed to prevail. Hemp has no THC value and smoking it for any reason is futile.
Then we come to the present day. I can't even imagine the amount of money, literally Billions every year, that flows South into Mexico from the sale of Cannibus. The gov't efforts have been shown time and again to also be totally futile. The money we waste every year on enforcement makes us "look stupid".

As far as the gay/lesbian issue and morning after pills, you are just pissed that christianity can't impose it's "morals" on the rest of us.

Abortion, like I've said before, I'm on the fence on that one.

The christian religion would like to impose prayer in Public Schools, as well as bible reading and intelligent design. They will certainly try some stupid tactic somewhere and ultimately lose and...look stupid also for trying.

I can sum it up for you in one sentence.
We have the best government money can buy.

How's that??

Finally, we agree on something.

As for the other stuff. There are still some holdouts that do not want to be part of the morally bankrupt majority no matter how many times you try to sell it. You'll fall off that fence you're on too with Obama's next crack at trivializing the freedom that our brave soldiers fought for.

Tobacco was a huge crop too, but we educated ourselves on that. For that matter a long time ago kings married their sisters in order to retain their wealth, people used to throw trash in public wells without knowing that it poisoned them. My point is, we learn from our past; well most of us. As for christianity...what's wrong with guidelines that keep us civil?

"The christian religion would like to impose prayer in Public Schools, as well as bible reading and intelligent design. All the Christians would like to be able to do is pray in public schools AND read their Bibles in public schools WITHOUT being ridiculed and persecuted for doing so. Much like the Muslims are allowed to do and atheists are allowed to do whatever they wish to do without being ridiculed and persecuted. Apparently for some, freedom is restricted to only certain beliefs.

Not one mention as to why Hemp remains illegal...I think I know why. Interesting but predictable response avoiding and deflecting my comments about why Cannibus and Hemp were made illegal in the first place.
Either you've researched and realize I'm right or you have no clus and can't allow yourself to come to terms with the facts.

The christian religion is not required nor necessary to keep society civil. If it were, humanity would never have survived prior to the 2000 year old religion's origins. There are countless cultures that existed quite nicely with no influence of the christian religion.

Look what's happening to society because so many people feel the way you do. The fact that you don't see it speaks volumes. I'm sorry about your hemp issue, but I don't really care about why it became illegal or when. I was just glad it was illegal. It makes people stupid, pot smokers will even tell you that.

For a gay guy that used for a short amount of time, 25 years ago. And claims he has not touched the stuff again. He sure does love that stuff. It sounds like he lives for the stuff he has not touched for 25 years. I don't know why anybody would not believe this pothead. He is only worried about this one drug in the medical field out of all the other drugs to help people through their problems. Oh it just happens to be a drug people use for recreational use.

Which brings to the forefront the obvious question...christians can already pray in ther homes and in their churches or sitting on a mountain top...why do they feel the need to do so in Public Schools?
I know of no requirement in the bible that children be required to do so so why put them in the spotlight to be "ridiculed" and/or "persecuted"??

Actually, I'd dare bet we agree on lots of things.
It's sad that everyone focuses on their differences which only causes additional discord.
The internet and Topix and similar forums provide the medium for people to discuss issues on an impersonal setting that in some cases leads to unnecessary polarization.
We can only hope that rational and logical reasoning will prevail. Ask Go Blue...we have disagreed on several topics but I'd buy him a cup of coffee any day.

I agree...however you need to rationalize, Blue. There are documented cases of people admitting to voting multiple times. Are you really so naive as to believe they're the only ones?

Let alone indoctrination. If christians and I am talking about the hierarchy would have us on our knees praying to their god just like the muslims want us to do. Accept Jesus or face eternal damnation which they would gladly make examples of what it means alters, blood sacrifices, and other types of persecution. They can be just as barbaric..
