We did not know Matt, but our hearts and prayers go out to his family. To Cindy, Dick, and the entire Bellant family, you and Cassie are in out thoughts and prayers. Stopped to see the kids tonight - and like we told them, if you need anything, please call.

I am a senior at Tri County this year and i knew Matt pretty well because he played football with my boyfriend for 6 years. Matt was one of the nicest guys that i knew and he will be greatly missed by all of us at Tri County. He could always cheer you up and he was always smiling. My prayers go out to the Kammers, the Hackbardts, Matt's girlfriend, and the hundreds of Matt's friends that will miss him greatly.
This will be a hard loss for our entire community because Matt was truly one of a kind.

As a mother of Tri-county kids,My heart felt condolonces go out to all of the community in Howard city.Matt will be greatly missed by all whom knew him and all of the lives he has touched.I recall watching Matt at last years football games and what an athlete he was...Life is to short, and I pray for all of the people involved in this tragedy..This community is strong for such a small town, but Viking pride will help all of us and all the Tri-County students, staff and families see us through this time of sorrow. To the girlfriend, may God be with you through the hard times ahead, we will be praying for you all..

I had just found out in class what had happened to Matt. And it was a big shock to me.... I didn't know him very well ... we had joked a time or two. It is a big loss for the school and the teachers who had taught him threw the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to Matt's Family, His girl friend for her recovery, And also Hackbardt's family... I know that Hanson's grandpa has to be blaming him self for this when it was just a horrible accident. We have lost a good person..My prayers to all.

Just to clarify...he was speeding going over 100 mph. This still doesn't mean that it was anyones fault. He was going too fast in the wrong place at the wrong time. It could happen to any one of us at anytime even if your only going 35.

Prayers for everyone involved and touched by this tragedy.

Just want the "Bellant Family" to know that our hearts and prayers are with all of you, including Matt's family. Cassie is a wonderful, beautiful girl. I shudder at the thought that it could have been any one of our kids. God Bless you all, there are a-lot of people saying prayers for you all.

Just to clarify... I haven't heard a new report yet that says how fast he was going. Not to metion. I don't seem to remember you being there when it happened so how coud you possibley "clarify" how fast he was going... did you clock him? nope i don't think so.. no body did it's everyone guessing. Yeah maybe he was speeding doesn't matter my community and alot of my friends including myself have lost a near a dear friend and you're worried about "clarifying" some useless piece of information like that? where is your heart? It doens't matter how fast Matt was going it won't bring him back so next time you decided to be so heartless take it some where else because we don't need people like you jumping to conclusions about someone you don't even know!

Kammers, he was always the funny guy. He never had an enemy and never tried to make one. He loved all sports and was a natural athlete. There was no one out there like him, he ran so funny and he was occasionally called birdman because of his big nose. I'm never gonna forget what he taught me about track and football, and life in general. Me and him would have the funnest times in football practice and at track events. Im never gonna forget the way how he lived his life, he lived it to the fullest and had so much fun. Matt we will all miss u so much, especially me. You were like an older brother or teacher to me. Rest in peace bro.

All I have to say it how cras can you be at a time like this? A teen is dead from as the result of an accident and your reaction is 'at least he didn't kill anyone else' Have some respect.
All my love and prayers for both the Kammer's and the Hacbardts.

matt was a terrific guy. he was always happy when he came over! he made a good effort too be around my family!! cassie and matt had been together for a year... sometimes cassie would tell me they talk about getting married... but no matt isnt here. but he will always be in our hearts. there is not one dull moment with that kid. he came camping with us and we had such a good time!... i wish i could see matt one last time. i guess god has a plan for all of us and it was matt's time to go:( Cassie got lucky. matt took all the impack and took his life for her. that shows he really loved her. me and my sisters and cusins were reading some of her text messages she had got from matt this past friday. and they made us tear all up. matt has a good mix of both of his partents!! he is adoable and he could never be forgotten. i think about Matt and cassie at school everyday now. sometimes i would cry i would have to go top the office. cass wont be herself for a while she is going to need time and space to reorganize herself.... were shore going to miss matt not comeing over. i miss and love you matt terrible!!

♥in loveing memorey of matt kammers♥

I do not appreciate your comment. I am sure there are others that do not either. What if it had been your kid. My guess is that you would not be saying stuped stuff like this. The accident happened only a few driveways away from my house. There is absolutely no way that speed was a factor. Matt was just a kid with his girlfriend. Not a hot shot on a crotch rocket. There were three of us standing outside when he went by. Matt was not speeding when he went by. I do not know Matt but my thoughts and prayers are with his family and his girlfriends family.
