This is sad to see such a dedicated man that gave his life for this country to see his career come to this. However, I understand.

Hopes and prayers to his family for getting through this difficult situation.

Really...I thought you libs hated betray us?

I wonder how this story is snow balling so bad about an affair. TMI they have this lady all over tv...this smells. Hell Doris kearns Goodwin was the biographer was sleeping with lbj, that's how she became his biographer. Resigning, ok, Obama accepting, ok...maybe even putting out a statement, but throwing the home wrecker under the bus on national tv...really?

The military people I know are saddened by this.

things don't add up.
what makes him so concerned now; why wasn't he as concerned accepting the appointment in the first place?
sorry, but this is too close on the heals of the Benghazi incident as well as the forthcoming investigation to only be attributed as an act of matrimonial contrition.
a red herring for sure.

Its a diversion a distraction from the real news. Something fishy here, like nobodies ever had an affair before come on people this is nothing. And of course the MSM is 24/7 with all of this who cares? watch behind the scenes that is where the real story is.. Probably some mandate by BHO that will never get reported until its to late.

Just another nail in the impeachment coffin that the republicans plan to finish a month or so before they decide how to start dealing with the fiscal cliff.

unlike you bobby...we can walk and chew bubble gum.

How about we just take Obamas idea and let it all be on him...sequestration. Obama initiated it proposed it and got it accepted. He must have like it... The Americans that voted for him must have liked it too., they re elected him.

But I agree with the other poster, this does smell. They are going out of their way to blow this one up immediately. This could have been quiet resignation. At the change of term or just prior to new term. This smells.

Military folks have likened him to the Eisenhower of our time.

He was slated to testify next week on Benghazi...now they say he won't...don't understand why this matters, he needs to testify.

Interesting that the term governing was missing in this quote......

Let the Impeachment Hearings Begin!

It's a distraction. Once again, look behind the distraction to see what is actually happening. This time it is the President saying that the country can jump off the cliff if tax hikes are not part of the deal. He doesn't care if he bankrupts the country, he didn't care the first term and he sure as heck won't care the 2nd term.

the only thing that actually works in the government is the military... You just keep thinking there's something important going on up there to invest more in it.

That is what happens when you lump us all together. Tell me that you cannot agree on one liberal issue. Sorry you live with your wife, and you have stated in the past that she believes differently then you. It is what it is. I am pro choice. I also believe that something needs to be done with the illegal immagration issue. However, I don't like what the far right has done.

I was told by a very wise man in my younger years. That would be my grandfather that lived through the depressionn. Great man, and I loved him dearly. He was a Republican. He told me that Religion and Politics do not go together. However, that is not the case now a days. It seems to lead now a days you have to state your religion, and people attack be it right or left, and and church gets involved. IMO that is wrong.

And this is relevant in what way to this topic? I have noticed since I started trolling again that no one stays on any topic and then it all turns into insults and juvenile name calling.
