One of my favorite quotes was: The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of someone else's money. Liberals is this country for some reason can't understand this.

Indeed. Wise words from someone who's opinion was based on decades of experience.

She was so cool in the late 70's while Carter screwed our Country..... The Trifecta of Her, Reagan, and John Paul changed our history from becoming slaves to the state...... We don't seem to have someone with stones today..... Libs are going down as people wake up.....

Having an in-law that was born and raised in England, has lived here for the past 40 years and still has direct family that still lives in England, having has direct access to the economic conditions of their home country, would disagree.

Thatcher decimated the British and Irish manufacturing base and shifted the cost of running government down the economic scale by lowering the taxes on the wealthiest and increasing them on the lower incomes.

But then it's like everything else. One's perspective hinges on who benefits and who loses.

As the weeks go on the more realistic attributes of Thatcher's leadership will surface. While being this early will be more "respectful" due to her passing.

The crazy Iron bitch is appropriate. The jury is out on this milk snatcher bitch and it ain't pretty. A lot of UK people hate this bitch and rightly so. Had she not had 24/7 security around her since she left office, she would been in hell a long time ago. Hope she's feeling the heat now because its long overdue.

Here are a few of her quotes:

“I think we've been through a period where too many people have been given to understand that if they have a problem, it's the government's job to cope with it.’I have a problem, I'll get a grant.''I'm homeless, the government must house me.' They're casting their problem on society. And, you know, there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look to themselves first. It's our duty to look after ourselves and then, also to look after our neighbor. People have got the entitlements too much in mind, without the obligations. There's no such thing as entitlement, unless someone has first met an obligation.”

“Being democratic is not enough; a majority cannot turn what is wrong into right. In order to be considered truly free, countries must also have a deep love of liberty and an abiding respect for the rule of law.”

“I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.”

“Socialists are happy until they run out of other people's money.”

“There are significant differences between the American and European version of capitalism. The American traditionally emphasizes the need for limited government, light regulations, low taxes and maximum labor-market flexibility. Its success has been shown above all in the ability to create new jobs, in which it is consistently more successful than Europe.”

“As Prime Minister between 1979 and 1990 I had the opportunity to put these convictions into effect in economic policy -
We intended policy in the 1980s to be directed towards fundamentally different goals from those of most of the post-war ear. We believed that since jobs (in a free society) did not depend on government but upon satisfying customers, there was no point in setting targets for 'full' employment. Instead, government should create the right framework of sound money, low taxes, light regulation and flexible markets (including labor markets) to allow prosperity and employment to grow.”

“The Russians are bent on world dominance, and they are rapidly acquiring the means to become the most powerful imperial nation the world has seen. The men in the Soviet Politburo do not have to worry about the ebb and flow of public opinion. They put guns before butter, while we put just about everything before guns.”

You wouldn't recognize the truth OR a fact if they walked up and slapped you into next year. Go away little boy, Mommy is calling you home. Or maybe you are already home and in her basement being "brave"?

Did you expect anything more from the tiny group of liberal hate-mongers on this site? Come on. You had to know they'd attack a conservative female, even one who's just passed away. A classless bunch indeed.

If Thatcher had been a socialist they'd be touting her rise from middle class to success at a time when women were struggling for equality, but because she was a conservative they feel the need to put her down and show her no respect.

Anything for the cause I suppose.

Most recent comment posted on the YouTube video is worthy and accurate.

Good riddance. She won't be missed. She's heating the halls of hell now where the bitch belongs.

"Good riddens, glad she's gone. She was a hateful, evil, morally confused and pathetic excuse for a leader of "the people". And anyone has the tenacity to defend or call for respect for her, are deeply shameful and ill informed. She would have have her own family if it were for a political victory, she was an ego-mentalist to then nth degree. And I'll celebrate her death everytime I walk past the memorial of the men she starved to death for political status. Evil woman"

Hahaha. This will strain your abilities, but look up the word hypocrite, read it, then look in the mirror and you'll be struck by a lightening bolt. Get it?!

Yes, "anything for the cause". Think about it.

"Great Leadership" is not determinable by the cause led. It is determined by the accomplishment of the cause's goal. Hitler was a great leader by those who believed in his cause. To this day we have in this country people who still believe in the cause Hitler led. Atilla the Hun was a great leader in the success of the cause he led. Napoleon was a great leader in the cause he led. Even though the success of those causes may have been short lived there are few scholars who would disagree they, among others, were great leaders.

History will always determine if the cause led was of noble stature. That doesn't detract from the leadership of the cause though. We do not live on this planet alone. As much as there are those who believe individuality is all that truly matters. And as history denotes there is never the success of the few without the cost to the many.
“I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own efforts.”- John D. Rockefeller

“Good leadership consists of showing average people how to do the work of superior people.”- John D. Rockefeller

“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.” ― Ronald Reagan

I'll entertain you two knuckle-draggers' hate-filled rants on other threads. This one I'll not be a part of your game of dragging any thread you don't like into the mud as fast as you can.

A fine lady passed away. In her life she carried herself with a dignity and class neither of you angry little ticks could scarcely comprehend.

I won't disagree with your assessment of Thatcher's dignity or "class". But many many people with dignity and class pass away regularly unnoticed. Thatcher placed herself upon the world stage voluntarily to promote her personal agenda for her country.

I do not agree with the glee some, even in Briton, express over her passing. I just do not agree with because of her passing her legacy should be venerated as many in her own country did not venerate her while she lived.

Maybe you should let loose of that bone. How many times have I pointed out to you with citations the Republicans/Conservatives that have been involved with child sexual abuse and NEVER even got sentenced much less "light sentences". And how about what many consider the most conservative of ALL organizations, the Catholic Church and their L O N G history of child homosexual and sexual abuse? How many of them went to jail? Huh Batch? HOW MANY?
