There is a house on my block that has one of the largest Christmas displays in Muskegon County. I noticed this weekend that he has begun staging to put his stuff up.

Personally, I'm ready for Christmas the minute the door hits the last little Halloween kiddie fairy in the butt. I LOVE the season, and my favorite part is the build up to it all. Presents have been bought, and yesterday I saw my first load of Christmas trees being shipped. If my husband would let me, I'd have lights out and the tree up already! lol, but alas I'll wait another 2 weeks so I don't look too crazy....
No surprise there! I knew you were one of those Merry Christmas Freaks, runs around with the little knitted socks with the toes in red and green with bells and tinsel all over Lord knows what :) Probably already hen-pecked your husband into wrestling those damned twinkly lights from every tree branch too. You wear an elf hat to work the week before Christmas, don't you?... sicko!

LMAO!!! As a matter of fact I decorate the tree entirely. I just need his help dragging it into the house and getting it straight in the holder. Muwahahaha! I also drag it out of the house and toss it on the side of the road the day after Christmas too. I'm just that good lol.

As for tinsel, you mind what you do in your bedroom, and I'll mind what I do in mine! lol!!

I tried tinsel in the bedroom but it proved insufficient as a restraining device. I did however learn that my wife has balls-on accuracy with her knee in the dark! Merry Christmas, indeed!!

It looks like the majority want Christmas music. We expect the Christmas station to play Christmas music.

I'm one of those who really get into it, too! Only, I wear reindeer antlers and those cute socks with toes in 'em.

I love Christmas. Bring it on!

There is a reason its called THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS...And there is a reason that 105.7 is eliminated as a preset station on my radio from now until after the first of the year

Am sad you're not playing Christmas music yet. My daughter in Florida is waiting too! We hope it's sooner than later.

OH, THAT'S JUST KINKY!
I like Christmas too, actually. Just not 24 hours a day for 2 months straight. Makes me want to shove a candy cane up Santa's chimney, if you know what I mean :)

You really think the radio stations don't decide what people want, rather than responding to demand?
On the note of being politically correct to the point of ridiculousness, I am going to boycott all businesses that send a card saying "Season's Greetings" rather than anything meaningful. At least Happy Holidays is functional language.
If you look at the results of this poll, it looks like the majority want it, unless someone is tampering with the poll. Radio stations put on the air whatever will sell the most air time to advertisers, thus making more money for the station.

You bet ya. I LOVE the Christmas music. I could listen all year. I can't wait for it to start. Bring it on. My husbands family will be celebrating on the 14th of November due to his mom and her new husband going to Florida for 6 months. Christmas music would help everyone get into the spirit!

It appears that you're right, the poll is showing people in favor, although the comments are mostly negative.

I put I don't care. It's pretty simple, if you don't want to hear it, don't put your radio on that station!

Playing 24/7 Christmas music starting at the beginning of November is ludicrous, and it totally cheapens the holiday. What if you started celebrating your child's birthday 2 months in advance? What is special about it when it actually rolls around? Also, Christmas can be a very difficult time of the year for many people due to job losses, recent deaths or divorce. It isn't all joy and cheer for everyone. If you MUST start playing Christmas music soon, how about a song here or there, not 24/7? People who need to have a constant feed of it can listen to their iPods. I love 105.7 but will be changing the station if you come on too strong with the Christmas music too early. And that would stink because Tommy and Brook are such a part of the beginning of my day!
