Jeremy was a close friend. He was telling me all about his new dune buggy yesterday, he was excited like a kid with a new toy and couldn't wait to start working on it. I'm in shock. I'm so sorry brother for this sad sad accident, I'm gonna miss you a lot. Prayers for all his family. Go easy...

Peace

Please be advised: I implore you all to please keep the comments respectful. My IT department is state of the art, two life-long friends are State Police homicide detectives and I get Christmas cards from Lexus-Nexus. Internet anonimity usually only exists at the descretion of others. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone. See you next week.

Sorry for your loss. I saw the WOOD story this morning and I wondered what it was since they described it as a golf cart but it looked like it had the same wheels on it as my Tahoe, dune buggy makes more sense.

All my sympathies.

Sorry to hear of your loss A-Red. An unfortunate reminder of all future Memorial Days for you. My sympathies to both you and the victim's family and friends.

Let's hope the likes of "air", "cynical", and "bunnee" don't chime in.

Sympathies to family and friends

Sad that we need these types of reminders when just last week a motorcyclist died and what: No helmet, much like this crash

Green was not wearing safety harness or seat belt

While I respect the intent of your message (which is to implore posters to not to use incendiary comments in this matter), your bullying threats are not helpful. We live in a free society where open dialogue is accepted as sacred. Your State Police buddies will not legally be able to punish those who choose to post words contrary to your opinion, and your use of your employer's IT resources or those of Nexus-Lexus for the sake of tracking down and punishing a poster who does not agree with your point of view is also improper and probably illegal.

His point of view is don't be an ahole, especially in times of tragedy, you got a problem with that.

Aren't you usually one of the ones who agree with the Darwin Award being handed out under these types of circumstances and on of the ones who agree, that people "close" to these tragedies should NOT be here reading what people say?

This guy had some kind of tragic accident and ended up in a ditch, we don't know the details yet. I mentioned Darwin with regard to the guy who ran a motorcycle through an intersection, up into a yard/house at high speed w/o a helmet on. I have never defended those who say nasty things to people who have had a tragedy.

And this guy took a newly purchased go-kart for a test drive at 12:30am with no restraint and no helmet; While I understand that he was submerged upside in water, when someone takes a go-kart for a test drive at 12:30am without a restraint on and no helmet.....well, does that not speak loudly???
