I read a news story over the weekend about this trip and it said that the costs are not out of line with the costs of previous presidential visits.
Any costs at all, would be excessive with some sour, reich extremists.....it's not about right or wrong....

What part of "we don't have the money" don't you get?????? And what is extremist about asking a President who has done nothing but whine about his own sequester deal to stay home and stop spending multi millions to apologize to everyone??? Good grief! Apparently you don't really care about 16 Trillion $$ and growing debt??????

Nah...Blue probably figures he won't be around long enough to really feel the impact and apparantly doesn't give a crap about the debt his party is leaving future generations since it won't affect him. Remember the progressive mantra: "What does it matter now?"

Go Blue and most of the Obama Glee Club Members here have no idea what benefit Obama visiting Africa would be, they just drop down on all fours and start barking like dogs as soon as they sense anything resembling critique of their master. At this point their just instinctual reactionists.

I've yet to hear anyone give a valid reason why the Obama's tour of Africa is one, necessary, and two, couldn't produce the same results by picking up a phone and calling these countries.

Do you liberals even know or care why he's spending upwards of 100 million to go to Africa? Do you even care what he does at this point?

Wasn't Obama supposed to end all of that excessive spending, or is he really just the smartest-looking black guy figure head the progressives could find to shore up the minority vote, and was never meant to actually do anything himself? After all, Obama just voted present his entire congressional tenure and he sure as hell didn't write Obamacare. Doubtful he's even read it.

I guess in the end Obama's been a good little token for the progressive party. He's allowed you goofballs to use the race card to forgive everything, and when his teleprompter is functioning he says what he's told to say.

In return, he has a beer and a golf club handed to him, along with a really sweet ride to wherever he wants to go.

Pretty cool 8 year gig. Damn sight better than running around organizing street rallies in Chicago!

That just means the government collected more taxes. If the Treasury had surplus, someone is running a deficit, likely the private sector. All that means is that the amount of savings investment went down.

So yippee!! The government made more money while we paid for it.

It's not a bad thing, mind you, and it's a good sign of the improving economy. But it's not exactly something to be doing all-caps victory laps over.

Here's an interesting piece I came across concerning the criticism of Obama's upcoming trip to Africa:

http://newsone.com/2597257/obama-africa-trip/

As the article points out, Laura Bush made 5 trips to Africa in support of her husband's policies. I don't recall any of you rightwingers complaining about the first lady making so many expensive trips back then.

Also, as the article points out, the Washington Post compared the cost of this trip with other Presidential trips and found that it was not out of line with other presidential trips.

Can you say "Manufactured controversy"?

Funny, I don't remember the outrage from the Viagra crowd back then. Why now? LOL!

This wasn't really very difficult. Try getting your nose out of faux news and Hannity's a-hole for an hour and smell the fresh air.

List of international trips made by the President of the United States

A list of Bush's international travel is found under Obama's.

Go to the you tube link, click on the url so it turns blue, right click and select copy, click in the box you are posting in where you want the link to post, right click again and select paste. Even though the entire link won't show up in your post it still will work if someone clicks it.
