Since this weather is starting early, I thought we'd all like to talk about it! Any thoughts?

The winters here seem to go on longer and longer each year. For me, global warming isn't happening soon enough.

No caterpillars, no winter.
I spotted two earlier today. Three bands red/brown/red each identical in width.

What does that mean?(I forgot how to read those things)

Like usual. Cold, snow, and way too long. I agree with Morris E Smith.. I want global warming to hit MI. Even this summer was cool.

I hate winter. Each year, winter seems to be colder and colder. Must be all that global warming they're always talking about Makes the evil conservative in me want to spray a bunch of aerosol to open up a hole in the ozone and warm things up a bit. :-)

I have to say I like winter. I like snow. I don't mind clearing out the driveway...although my neighbors probably don't feel the same way when I need to do it at 5:45 AM! I am NOT a fan of the grey days however. Too many in a row tend to bring down my mood. Any day that requires sunglasses is a good day to me.

friends of mine that work for the road commission have said for years that warm Indian summers bring snowy winters. makes sense. the longer lake michigan is warm, the more moisture will be picked up by the artic cold coming from Canada. I'm fearing 'lake-effect' already!

Didn't know the weather stopped so it could start early. j\k

Seriously, 2 years ago we had our earliest snow ever, so it really isn't starting early, it just appears that way. And we haven't had an early winter in a long time, not that I want one, but we haven't.

Having said that, bring on the mini-Ice Age. I love cold and snow, sitting in a tree stand sweating and being eaten alive by mosquitoes is not fun. Plus, the deer aren't moving much. But I truly think that winter is the most beautiful season of the year as long as we have snow.

For all of you that don't like snow, LEAVE!! There's other states you can live in that don't have snow. The snow comes and then come the negative people that hate it. There's the door, don't let it hit you in the a s s on the way out. I wish it would snow 10 month a year here, wait, I just might get my wish this year. Is it snowin yet?

Ha! When I was younger and had no children (hense I had money) I LOVED the winter - skiing, snow mobiling etc etc etc... I still think it's real purdy, just wish they could keep it off the sidewalks and roads!

I've always said I was going to move away from MI becuz of the weather but I haven't yet ... I don't think our winters are starting early at all! It's still pretty nice in October yet ... I remember a year growing up when we'd had snow by now! I'm thankful for the fact that it's still pretty nice and decent out becuz people can't drive in the winter worth a darn!

I like snow. But I hate ICE!!! And it seems that past few winters have had more and more single digit temperatures.

You said it! How can a state which is snow-covered for the better part of 5 months have so many bad winter weather drivers?? I'm dreading that first snowy drive like a prostate exam :)!!!

Gray and cloudy with no sunlight until April. Black, dirty snow everywhere. Frigid winds and short, depressing days! Yee-haw!

I like snow, I hate cold. I always said if it could snow when it's 50 and sunny, then I'd be a happy person. I hate that everytime it snow everyone forgets how to drive, the snow ends, and as soon as we get another round they forget again. HOW DO YOU FORGET HOW TO DRIVE IN SNOW????

Seriously? I don't know much on how to forcast future weather. I just wanted to see everyones opinions, and man...I think I'm regreting it:( So far it looks like everyones thinking worse than last year. I like Michigan's 4 seasons, but how about 6 months of spring, 2 summer, 3 fall and 1 winter. Where can I find that!

We've had mild winters here for the last several years, I can't believe we'd have a hard one with lots of snow.

Remember the old days of actually being "snowed in"? Wasn't it around 1977 that we had that incredible blizzard?

I wish we could have autumn all the time- these temperatures are great! And easy on the Consumers bills.
