<quoted text>I'd ask you to show the same class where I ever said that increasing taxes on the top 1-2% would help the middle class, but why bother.

The thing I have been saying all along is that it costs the government X number of dollars to do all they do, and it has to be paid for somehow.

What the clueless right has been saying is that we have a spending problem and not a taxing problem....... Bunk!

Only an absolute blind person can't see that if you plan to go into two wars, while nearly doubling the military budget, that you don't have to find a way to fund it. That's the very first reason there should have been tax increases ten years ago. Instead, we got another tax break for the rich so called job creators!

You'd have to be equally blind to not see that the boomers entering retirement age wasn't going to put a strain on social security and medicare. There has never been anything wrong with the idea of the program, but both political parties are at fault for not managing it correctly, or planning ahead for this event. Throwing away the whole program isn't the answer, nor is the popular thought that some conservatives have voiced that they "just want my money back". Yeah, right!

Whacked out conservatives talk about killing off social safety net programs, while at the same time demanding that workers give wage concessions so that CEO's can get bigger bonus checks. WAKE UP - Everytime workers get a cut in pay, more families are forced out of the middle class and into the ranks of those needing that safety net. It shouldn't take a degree in rocket sience to figure out that this country is better off when people have the chance to earn a decent living wage. Even if it means a few members of the 1% have to try making ends meet with a few less million.

I've asked this before..... When was the last time you asked your boss to reduce your wages so that you'll eventually make more?
Is that not what you are doing when you voted for Obama to raise your taxes? Social security, dividend, interest, capital gains taxes are all going up January first regardless and separate from any legislation congress and the president decide on. Along with some sort of new income tax. So give more of your money to the government to fill there pockets, pensions, pork programs, and give themselves raises. Then some how you will eventually make more money?

I'm just putting the facts to your whining. Just think of me as your angle. Whenever your mouth gets you in trouble (which is all the time) I then give you the facts so you don't look as d stupid as you really are. No need to thank me, it's in my nature to help the ignorant.

You do realize that even if they taxed the top 1-2% at 100% that it wouldn't run the government for more than a month, right? So explain to the class again how exactly that's going to help?

This does not in any way prove wrong my statement that taxing the top 1-2% even at 100% will not fund the runing of the government for long and when the government runs out of other people's money, guess what happens? Buh bye entitlements or the other 98% pay more in taxes. Guess what you're going to have to do? Yup...you get to pay more in taxes to pay for the goverment's lack of spending discretion. Enjoy!

.."if they taxed the top 1-2% at 100%"...is this for some type of dramatic effect?...Has anyone suggested 100 percent taxation, other than you? What harm doe's raising taxes on the 2% actually cause?....BTW, the above post, is now in the proper context, which i prefer.....

Smoke another joint, dude..it's making you seem smarter to yourself all the time. What you fail to take into consideration and your handlers conveniently fail to tell you that while the expired tax cuts will indeed increase revenue, increased government spending will quickly consume any extra or did you forget that they have no budget and are proposing more spending then ever?
I'll be lmbo when all you tools are whining next year at tax time...or sooner...like when you get your first paycheck of 2013...assuming you have a job, that is.
If not, you might want to pick up the pace looking for one...those entitlements are going to run out of money pretty fast.

Haha. why don't YOU give it a rest dude. Who says gov't. spending is going up, and explain why it is we have no budget. Start there. Do you think no budget may be a consequence of the sequester (fiscal cliff scenario) that's been in place since the budget/deficit negotiations 2 years ago? Lets here it big shot, I'll give you another chance to show your brilliance.

The president does:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/federal-e...

Under his proposed budget, spending will increase by about 41% but only decrease by 6% for a net increase in spending of 35%.
And they haven't figured out how to pay for Obama care yet.
Enjoy those new taxes!
Oh...and you can expect a decrease in pay starting January 1, 2013 when the Social Security payroll tax cuts expire...but you probably won't miss that 20 bucks a week....much. Just cut back on the ganja and Budweiser and it'll be okay.
