GOP members were the ones who ran away from the Super Committee that was tasked with drafting a budget plan that would have avoided this. Too bad they don't just leave DC for a week or two so this budget mess can get resolved without the GOP's stalling tactics.
Simpson-Bowles was set up by Obama and the American tax payer paid for them to come up with a plan. They did, Obama is not interested in what they came up with. That was a dog and pony show. Obama wants it his way or no way. Wake up Bobby boy!!!

No!
That is what the Republican party wants, except with a little twist. They want the 2% to have everything and everyone else broke.

Yes! This is just a way for him to redistribute the wealth to his rich democratic friends. The real truth is we the middle class will get screwed no matter what party is in power.

I agree Bob. I think the GOP should take a very long Christmas break. Let Obama and his minions do whatever they want. When the country falls over the cliff and the inevitable crash and depression happens, it will be all on Obama's shoulders and the Dems can be totally irrelevant in the midterms and in 2016 and for about another 40 years. What a great idea you had! Have you advised Obama about your thought process? Of course, he's as arrogant as you are so he probably thinks he can get away with it.

Maybe they should all run away and hide and refuse to vote on anything like the dems in Wisconsin did? Seems the tools on the left were applauding that maneuver when their side pulled it.
Funny how all these slobbering, window licking liberals forget what...and who...got us to the point of heading towards the 'fiscal cliff' in the first place. Does 'raising the debt ceiling' ring a a bell to any of them, I wonder? Do any of them realize that we are months away from needing to raise that debt ceiling yet again because the left didn't follow through on their part of the bargain and come up with a budget that involved cuts in spending?
Nah..they're too busy swilling the Kool Aid.

The latest is that Obama is going to ignore Congress and raise the debt ceiling on executive order. My question is: When are these clueless fools going to see that Obama doesn't want to be President, he wants to be King/Dictator/Most Revered One. The really sad part is that 47% of us didn't vote for him, but we are going to suffer as much or more than the rest of the fools.

Really? It was just the GOP's part of the so called super committtee that "ran away"?? Keep trying to make excuses. The fact is that this administration failed!
Obama appointed this so-called super committee, and they failed, it was made of equally of democrats and republicans. The failure lies in the leadership, that let them fail.
And today we hear that the GOP presented a compromise budget reduction plan to the White House, and it was rejected.
So, just who is it that is unwilling to compromise?
As far as I'm concerned, I think the GOP should just let Obama have his way, and we'll see what kind of mess he leaves.
If Obama gets his way ALL of our taxes will go up, and he'll be free to spend away as he wishes.
By the way Bobbie Boi,.....your entitlements may end as well.
Good luck with that.

LMAO - I can't wait until you realize that the GOP's proposal ends up raising your taxes, along with everyone else that makes under $100k per/year.

That proposal avoids discussion of the 2% tax holiday you've been enjoying on social security taxes. That ends on 12/31 unless it is extended, and your dream team has decided to ignore that little tidbit.

Oops.......

We can't wait for you to realize that your hero's proposals raise the taxes on the entire country AND causes inflation to rise AND GDP to further deteriorate. But, since you in your arrogance think it won't affect you, you don't care. We got it.

Epic Fail Edna......

Only the lowly educated would think that.

Three choices - Democrat, Reublican, or off The Cliff, everyone is going to be asked to either pay more or give something up. Why you dolts that come on here screaming about how you want the deficit spending to end can't figure out how that would be accomplished is beyond me. None of the three plans either balances the budget let alone tries to pay off some of the existing debt.

If any of you were truly serious, you'd ask your teabagger representatives what their plan is to avoid passing on this debt to their kids. So far, the only thing any of us have heard is how we need to cut taxes on a bunch of so called job creators that don't create any jobs!

Please explain how, continuing the tax cut's for those making less than $250,000...raises the taxes on everybody?

Look at that!!! Bobby boy talks about lowly educated and here you are demanding people to explain something to you. Yet you never answer any questions. You and your boyfriend bobby boy get pinned down and you jump to a different subject all the time. GOP is endorsing the Bowles plan which is the Dumoldrat side of Simpsons Bowls plan.

Just tell me one thing, How is making the rich pay more going to help the middle class and the poor? Is it that you just want the rich to be poor too?

Well lets make it two things, tell me how that will create jobs also.
