I follow what you are saying and I do agree that as an adult, my nephew holds the ultimate responsibility for his choices both up until now and going forward. I don't blame my brother for my nephews' choices. But the fact it's been proven children often model parents behavior. My nephew is a model of what his father was for a number of years and my brother gets it. He's a definite 'pot head' with no goals - lost his job. A once loving caring young man now avoids his family and spends most of his time 'partying'. A phase?- Perhaps - but that once caring nephew is now an angry young man and I don't think it's coming from tap water. I'd love to elaborate but I really can't. I'm from a small town.
I'd like to make it clear that even though I've joked about it, I do not condone parents smoking pot in front of their children. But it sounds to me that your nephew is having bigger life issues than simply having watched his father smoke pot.

This is an ignorant statement based around nothing and fear.

This is not funny. If a child unknowingly ate marijuana he might freak out, hyperventilate. It could cause emotional problems for the rest of his life. I agree Marijuana is a safe drug but nearly all test are done on adults. Who knows how a child might be effected by it.

I would agree with that. But I think many of his problems are related to and/or "masked" by his choice in his MJ use.

Goodness, just come up with a part of a parody of "Daddy Sang Bass."

me and my brother just drank for our ills."

MJ? Well, I guess being exposed this MJ is better than a little boy being exposed to the other MJ, the singer.

lol, you're right tho, i feel bad for laughin and if it would of been an infant with weed in their bottle or cereal I would be less amused. However, the chance of kids over the age of two eating grass are pretty slim especially if they have a choice between chocolate and weed. Those kids were in preschool, old enough to be out of the "grassy like" eating stage and into eating glue, ants and chalk.

Wow - and some believe I am a prohibitionist. If a little wine is okay with Jesus it's okay with me. But like ANYTHING including food, too much of anything is bad for you. Even Medical reports suggest one glass of wine with dinner can be good for you and I don't get 'high' from that when I do.
I'm curious what your thoughts are on legal drugs used medicinally that produce 'highs'.
Then why do you drink it? LOL It's the old "it's good for me" excuse...

Legal medications? Hey, I'm deep in that thought-process -- I review medications for patients almost daily. Amazing how many have no idea what that little pill is for. Doctors are HUGE into giving anti-anxiety and antidepressant meds without even telling patients what they are for. Happened today, AAMOF.

Prohibition? Now that worked really well, grew us a great criminal element. War on Drugs? Going swimmingly, for the same reason. People want to get high.

I guess my point is that alcohol is a drug, with no use other than intoxication. No different from pot.

Again, four-year-old with pot, bad.

You may "think" that his problems are caused by pot use, but you can't be too sure though, can you?
