It's been suggested on other threads, so...

I have two Siberian Huskies. One male named Nanuck - he's black and white with one brown and one blue eye. He was abandoned here in Portugal and we rescued him about 20 months ago. One felmale named Nayla - she's all white with blue eyes. She is my baby and wasn't exactly thrilled when we brought the male home.
They're awesome dogs, but definitely not watchdog types.

My two dogs are my best friends.

We have a 10 year old black teacup Pommerian she is only about 7 to 8 pounds. Then we have the big boy a 4 year old Blue Great Dane currently he is at about 130 pounds now and the biggest baby you could every ask to meet. The little one rules the roost that is for sure.

We have actually have had people stop along the road and tell us how funny it looks to see those two walking down the street.

Have a good one everyone.

I am an advocate of no-kill shelters and do my part to rescue animals. After losing my last 2 Senior Rottweillers this summer, I adopted a new puppy from our local shelter. She is a German Shepard-Great Dane mix,but I'm a big dog person, so I think that's great. I've named her Sara' Kaye..., and she has now been home with me for a month. We have a lot of learning to do, but she is catching on fast, and we've already started obedience training (she is 3 months old today!).

She loves chasing the fallen leaves, and my cat (his now brother)through the woods. They get along wonderfully.

Like EmmaRae, my pets are my best friends. They are the smile on my heart.

We have four dogs, a 12 year old husky/lab/german shepherd mix, a 6 year old lab/border collie/pit mix, a 3 year old boxer/pit mix and a 2 year old pit. They're our babies, especially since kids may not be in the cards for us. All of them are rescue dogs in some way shape or form. I honestly don't think we'll ever get another puppy. There are too many awesome dogs in shelters!

Funny 70's, we don't agree on politics, but animals. Spot on.

One dog, his name is Yzer and he is roughly 105# boxer. He's my best friend, and my baby. The best thing about Yzer is the unconditonal love, if I'm having a bad day and crying, he will come up and just lay his head on my lap and let me cry. He makes me laugh out loud when the Schwann man drives by the house, he goes nuts, knowing that ice cream will soon be in the freezer..LOL

I have a one year old Aussie that loves to eat electrical wires. And cell phones!! She has eaten through one cell phone, two chargers, two keyboards, and the cord to my vacuum. Oh. And she loves toilet paper.

Aren't boxers the best!? Of course ours is a mix, but seeing the small difference in personality when the boxer shines through...they're just so sweet!

12 years ago, we had a dalmatian who had an obsession with remote controls. We replaced our tv remote 3 times thanks to that little angel.
Loved her to death, but damn, why the remote?

I was getting ready to ask if the dog is named after Yzerman - then I saw your tag - I'm guessing he is...

I love Rottweillers! And big dogs. I had a mastiff/rott mix, great dog. Looked like a Rott, temperment of a mastiff. I wanted another "big" dog, but my honey talked me into a medium sized dog this time around. I still want a mastiff. Maybe once we get a bigger house, or when kids start moving out.(cry)

I talked to someone that had the same problem, and they said that cell phones and such give off a high pitched noise only dogs can hear? Don't really know if it's true, but makes a little sense. But then, why my vacuum cord? Thankfully it was not plugged in. I guess each dog has their own preference on what to chew.
Probably the grossest thing I had to do with her, is after she ate some toilet paper, proceeded to go number 2, and she had toilet paper hanging from her butt, and I had to pull it out of her. Not with my bare hands, yuk. That was sick. Now the bathroom door is shut and toilet paper is up.

We currently have four dogs, 3 are ours and 1 is my daughter she did have 2 but in here situation we could only keep one and had to give the other away. My dogs are chow/golden retriever(buddy) and then we have Rot/Lab (lex ann) shes the best kinda bossie, if she get made a me she takes my glasses and hides them. I have twice found them in her toy box and once in her bed. Then I have a beagle/rot, he looks beagel acts beagle but has alot of traits of a Rot (hopper). His name fits him he cant jump as tall as me 5'6 and can run like a deer. He is the biggest pain since I'm always chasing him. Buddy he has a skin deorder and he farts horrible it will make you sick and clear out a house in no time. But he pretty laid back. Then we have the daughters dog much younger then ours and she runs around the house, she has alot of learning to do. Her name is Sadie J. But I love all my dogs. Oh Then I have Garth he is a cat that thinks he is a dog. Sits when told to, gives you his paw and eats dog treats. He thinks he needs to sleep under the covers too! Only in our house!

We do not presently have any dogs. We ahve taken two to the humane society for adoption after we learned that dogss hit in the yard and wear out the grass with their chains. We also had a cat which we ran over accidently. That cat was like a brother to me and out of respect for Paws I can never accept another animal in its place. Even a house trained dog with no fleas.

I have a Shiba Inu that will be 2 in Dec and is the worlds biggest prima donna. If she is mad at you she will lay on the other side of the room and turn her head when she catches you looking at her. I also have a Rott that will be 1 next week. He is a big baby who thinks he needs to be with you 24/7..the closer the better. He is ever so conviently allergic to BEEF! And while being intimidating to strangers is more likely to knock you down and kiss you to death than to bite you. We have tossed around the idea of getting another rott, but with spending over $2k on vet bills and having to feed food that is costing us over $45 a month we are holding off. I wouldn't trade my dogs for the world!

This past July, we got our first puppy. He is a Chocolate Lab. He is now 5 months old and so much fun! Our kids call him their 'brother'. I guess I had no idea that labs grew SO fast, he already weighs about 50 lbs! The vet says he is not overweight, but that because both his parents were very large...he will follow. We named him Jedi, BTW:)

Okay, we have four. A somewhat retarded(or very good at acting), a beagle who loves to eat poop, a shi tzu with an overbite, and a chiuauau/rat-terrier mix who thinks she's a herd dog(really). I'm a sucker for a homeless dog. Gotta love them-they are the only ones who never, ever, let you down!

And if that story is true, it's people like you who are the reason for people like me. Pet's are not disposable!!
