Proposal 1( I vote YES)

Michigan laws that allow the state to appoint an emergency manager who has authority over the financial decisions of a financially distressed local government

Should a majority of electors vote "Yes" on the referendum, the law will be reinstated. Should a majority of electors vote "No," PA 4 will be repealed
__________
Proposal 2 (a big NO)

amend the Michigan Constitution to create a new right to collective bargaining

show that Michigan has the 5th highest concentration of union membership in the nation: 18.3 percent
__________
Proposal 3 ( a bigger fat NO)
amend the Michigan Constitution to require utilities to obtain at least 25% of their electricity from clean renewable energy sources
__________
Proposal 4 (another NO)
Provide Limited Collective Bargaining Rights to Home Health Care Workers

this proposal focuses on the unionization of home health care workers and the establishment
__________
Proposal 5 (still say NO leave it the way it is now)

Two-Thirds Vote to Increase State Taxes
Michigan voters will be asked to amend the 1963 Constitution

The supermajority requirement would apply to all state taxes (e.g., personal and corporate income, sales/use, property, fuel and vehicle registration, and many others), but not state fees or charges (e.g., driver license, recreation, hunting, business, etc.) or the elimination of tax credits (e.g., earned income tax credits or homestead property tax credits). It would apply equally to tax rate increases, tax base expansions for any existing state tax, and enactment of any new state tax
__________
Proposal 6 (I say YES)

Initiative to amend the Michigan Constitution to require a vote of the people before the State of Michigan can construct or finance new international bridges or tunnels for motor vehicles.

Require the approval of a majority of voters at a statewide election and in each
municipality where “new international bridges or tunnels for motor vehicles” are to
be located before the State of Michigan may expend state funds or resources for
acquiring land, designing, soliciting bids for, constructing, financing, or promoting
new international bridges or tunnels.

All but proposal 1 are for amendments to the constitution which, in my opinion, are not appropiate for the issues at hand.

That's because I don't like to be told how to vote, such as you did on the first post. I read your opionion on the first day posted, but you are telling people how to vote.

That is just totally unethical. People should vote how they feel and think for themselves. They don't need to be told by you how to vote.

Well, Red, you have been told. Apparently giving your opinion on the proposals is the same, for some people, as telling them how to vote. Apparently those people can't think for themselves? By the way, I didn't take it that you are trying to tell people how to vote, but rather, putting up the language on the proposals.

Red didnt tell you "how to vote"

All Red did was help explain it.

Maybe you should read something, and inform yourself on things,
We all know that will never happen.
We all know that you will vote for that cute funkie dude, because he is promising free cell phones!

Voting 'NO' on everything will keep the Constitution as it is, and how it should stay.

Voting 'YES' will ... not.

I just posted a few quotes from the link I left for people to go read, AND how I will vote. Those are just the easiest snippets to understand quickly, but I would expect people to go read the damn things.

Not unethical, at all, or would have not pasted the link.

As for number 6, it's not that we can't build an "international" bridge but at least people will have a say in it.

I am all for the bridge, but we need to get the state more money BEFORE we build it.So if they can just put up a structure, I get the feeling we will get hosed while Canada gets all the goodies.

We always get the bad end of trade deals, and the UN, and then bad mouthed from other countries while we give them free cash.

So voting won't hurt too much, unless these environmental freaks stop things as they always do.

I agree, last Sunday on the show to the point the attorny general was saying that passing proposal 6 cant stop the bridge, because that has already been approved, and it wont be retroactive.
I say vote yes on prop. 1, and No on the rest.
Especially 4, which will just force all people that provide home health care to pay union dues.
They said the SEIU stands to gain some $300 MILLION in union dues in Michigan if prop. 4 passes.
According to the fine print, anyone that cares for anyone "in home" will be forced to pay union dues, even it it's you or I careing for an eldery parent in our own home. And if you recieve any form of government aid for doing so, those dues will automatically be deducted from any state aid, before you recieve it.
These T-V ad's are so deceiving, because when you see those ad's, you think that it's a good idea, but you really dont know what, or who is behind them.
IMO, it's yes on 1.
And NO on the rest.

As for just building a bridge, and say we had the cash etc etc.

see one reason , the main reason it would be a good thing is that the state doesn't "drive through"
so truck drivers have to come up, then back down.so other companies that make the goods are lined up on states that you can just drive in a straight line to pick up, or deliver goods.
(a truck driver told me this a long time ago)

But New York and other states connect to Canada, and a bridge would be a good economic boost to compete with other states.

But I don't like the idea our Mich government can just make deals and not consult the people first since we will end up paying something, is why I say yes on 6, even though I think a bridge is a good thing.

Be carefull on proposal 6.
Passing it will limit the power of the people that we vote in to our state house and senate to pass many spending bill's, and force them to be postponed untill the next election.
It's NOT really so much about the "bridge".
Proposal 6 can NOT stop the "bridge".
That's already been approved.

Good Day,

Indeed. Passing Prop 6 could very well be like opening Pandora's box. What, are we supposed to have apublic (Statwide) vote on every infrastructure project? Hmmm...
