Why does the government feel the need to compete with existing, privately owned businesses?
We already had bike rentals which were driven out of business after decades, by the 'yellow bikes.' And we have short-term car rentals which are also privately owned.
Fix the roads, idiots!

Not competing, since car rental agencies aren't filling that gap, just like nobody is filling....

There is no competition here since the government can run this at a net loss, financed by the taxpayers. Just like light rail, no private business like Hertz, Enterprise, or even Rent a Wreck, can compete with that kind of nonsense.

It is now considered sharing when a Jigger steals your car.

Just like building stadiums for billionaire team owners at tax payer expense, we are now going to provide automobiles for those that either have them, or have access to them in the private markets.

This is wrong.

They understand. They just don't care since they believe that the supply is inexhaustible. If only they could figure a way to mandate every couple have 12 children.

Yes it is. And if you do a little research, you will find that most, if not all car sharing programs in the US are subsidized by both state and federal agencies and we all know where they get their (our) money from.

Happily, the atmosphere starts to lighten today, leading to a much more comfortable time. You'll also find it easy to get on well with other people, which will come as a big relief. You may even be able to make amends for what happened yesterday and reach some sort of agreement at long last. If you're going to a social event you'll have a really good time.
