Dentist are not cheap, if you can afford one months rent to pay for your teeth to be done, more power to you! Not everyone is fortunate as you! A year ago I chipped my tooth from the lip ring (That I had for 8 tears!). I have to put 800 down just for them to start on a root canal. I dont have that kinda money so I just suffer with toothaches. Hey if I could super glue it I would. My family and a roof over there head comes before my well being. But dont be so judgemental if you dont know a persons situation. Better than having no tooth!

My celebrity dentist told me to use superglue if any of his temporary work came off while I was on vacation. He told me not to tell anyone that he said that. I guess that I should not have been surprised that I had to replace ALL of his permanent work within just months of it's installation.

why is it ok to glue our wounds with super glue and have it used during surgery but not in your mouth? I don't think she means to pour it in? Just using a smidge to glue in the tooth.

Don't blame this on the economy. The rot on her teeth has not just appeared this year. She has had this problem for some time. I have a number of crowns and a implanted tooth, quite expensive but paid for over time. I beleive she is looking for a handout.
You are a horrible prison to even say this of someone! Obviously you are one of those "Uppity People" who always think negatively of everyone to satisfy the fact that your a sociopath, just don't comment if you aren't going to add something to the conversation besides your own ego filled rants!! Your IQ is showing and it's obvious it's extremely low? Can you even read my big illigent words? I can dumb it down if you need me too, Here YOUR AN IDIOT

I would not recommend it as a temporary cement. There are better options over the counter. The best solution is to visit your dentist and have him/her glue it back for you. The last thing you want is to inflame the tooth nerve and end up needing a root canal.

Many practices offer both metal and composite fillings, or dental bonding for damaged teeth: http://drsohl.com/fillings.php Don't resort to superglue, just talk to your dentist. Most offer payment plans and financing options.

Ive been using super glue for about 2 months now to glue my crown that broke. I have respiratory problems, I cough uncontrollably and now my left side hurts when I cough, breathe, or move. I can't afford the 3500 dollars for the dental work I need either. I wish there was a way to get help.

It is too ignorant. I'm a poor person, who happens to have olive skin, and I am not getting help. African Americans and minorities have some of the most challenges socioeconomically despite improvements. Why must race always come up? Annoying!

While super glue on teeth. Following are the some important tips for super glue your teeth.

1. A steady hand and a well-lighted mirror are needed.
2. Although SG will bond skin, it does not stick to mucous membranes for long because they constantly secrete moisture. It will come off onto a dry tissue.
3. Repairs can last for several days to several weeks at a time, depending on the particular application and the skill of your repair. Eventually the SG deteriorates due to moisture and must be redone.
4. The gel type SG may work best, especially if the mating surfaces are not entirely even. The gel is also less prone to drip or run. some have an ester ingredient that emits an odor until dry. Inhale through your nose and exhale orally to avoid the fumes.
5. The tooth surfaces must stay dry until the glue sets. A square of toilet paper twisted and placed along the gum area will suffice, and help separate the gum and mouth surfaces.

Using super glue on your teeth does not seem like a very safe thing to do. Hopefully she went in and had everything taken care of later on. If i ever had something wrong with my tooth I would make sure to get it checked out by a dentist. http://www.vfdental.com/facial-aesthetics/

I have healthy teeth! I brush practically every time I go to the restroom. My smile has always been admired. But I have Twin 3 year olds. One day my son has a melt down and threw his toy truck at me. Bam! Square in the mouth and a tiny bottom piece of my front tooth broke off. I have medical benefits but no dental. I found the piece that came off and it fit right on but wouldn't stay. So I bought that dental cement. Didn't hold up! I said f it, ill try super glue. That was a few months ago. Still holding up and you can't even tell my tooth had trauma. I don't recommend it but when you can't cough up $1200 just for a crown then you learn to take matters in your own hands. I DON'T HAVE BAD TEETH & I'M NOT ON WELFARE. I'm a single mother of twins working and going to school. My job doesn't offer dental plans & I wouldn't pay $1200 unless it was a die hard emergency or for my kids. Accidents happen, you do what you need to.
Well just so you know you probably don't need a crown. i work in a dentist office and sounds like all you need is a very small bonding and it would not be anywhere near $1200,... i have had bonding done on mine and it lasted over a decade ! It's simple and inexpensive !

I call bull crap on all of you talking smack about tooth brushing, flossing, water picking and being a dirty mouth. I've brushed religiously MY WHILE LIFE because my parents had awful teeth, never took care of them and now my father has none won't have dentures and my mother has 8 in the front. I've brushed after every single meal, snack, soda pop, and piece of candy trying to keep my teeth. I am GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED to lose them and at almost 37 I got my top and bottom denture.
Moral: for some of us it just doesn't matter , but you seriously don't have to be rude about it.

The dollar stores sell toothpaste and brushes. Brush your teeth once in a while and they will stop falling out.
I was on a field trip with my daughter and overheard another parent saying she has used super glue on a broken tooth. So far it's held for 7 years. I don't recommend it.
