I was stationed at USCG Life Boat Station Grand Isle from 1961~1963 and have nothing but fond memories of the town and it's people.
Looking at the effects of the BP fiasco left me some what peeved at BP. I hope with the passage of time, conditions are improving and, that the next rodeo will be a big success.
I understand that some friends of mine from that time, 1961~1963, may still on the island, that would be Bruce Anderson and, a fellow named Derosa, they should be in their late 60's by now.
