Here we go again! Now let's hear from all those who blasted Obama's ban on off shore drilling until better safety procedures were put in place.

Course drilling on land would have much fewer safety and environmental risks, but the tree huggers would never let that happen.

How long are we going to allow Big Oil to put our Mother at risk?

We need Mr. Obama to pull the plug on all fossil fuels by nationalizing the energy industry and moving everyone into renewable energy now.

You know what I think is great?!! It's when we all speak with one voice and say the same things over and over again! With exclamation points! And we can recite the same meaningless slogans as replacements for arguments we can't make because we just aren't as smart as our glorious leaders(who do the same thing)!

Here's the entire article:

NEW ORLEANS, La.— The Coast Guard is saying there are no immediate signs of a spill from an oil platform fire in the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana coast.

All 13 crew members were rescued from the water in the second such disaster in the Gulf in less than five months.

The Coast Guard initially reported an oil sheen a mile long and 100 feet wide had begun to spread from the site of the fire, about 200 miles west of the site of BP's massive spill. But officials said at a Thursday afternoon news conference that boats at the platform have not seen any oil sheen.

What do you think an oil platform is?

You make a good argument against democracy. THOUSANDS of rigs are in current operation in the Gulf. About 1/4 of our nation's energy supply comes from the there. You kinda like energy, don't cha? No? Tried pushing your car lately?

Safety procedures are in place. The industry has been doing this for decades, deploying billions upon billions in capital. Really, you think they're just now say, "Well, go figure, I guess we should care about safety."? It's a challenging business that has risks, just like the risks of everything else. The food sent to your local supermarket via truck could kill someone in an accident. Do you know that?

Obama's ban was impulsive and reckless. At a time when we're borrowing money from China for stimulus, he casually threw thousands out of work. I hope the airlines don't beach one, he'll shut down that industry too.

Great too, "Oil Rig Explodes..." No, an oil rig didn't explode, there was an explosion on a rig. Big difference. Oops, check out the picture. Pure media hysteria.

And that's what people react to. Instead of finding out they facts, they assume the worst. I just hope it doesn't affect the Louisiana waters again.
