Anna and I know Father Joe and we both always found him to be superficial.

I would not do a thing for Krysa! Screwed up in Dunkirk and ran like a little Hermit! He will use all there money & run far away to!Those BELLS have to go ! They don't have to ring every hour on the hour till 9pm!It is an Oratory now not a PARISH!!!! There no better than any other Oratory around! Should be treated like everybody else!!!!

Father Joe is "edified" by a parish family that is Alive and Growing and one that will be an audience to his need for attention. What a common word for a common guy? He is another member of the clergy who wants to be more the celebrity than a priest. Watch him perform on Sunday as he dramatically uses the altar as a stage to seek attention. He likes to wink at pretty people in the crowd. His friends/favorites are Barbie and Ken looking people. He loves to hug them when they come into the church. Don't be surprised when he high fives them as he passes or when he talks to them from his seat on the altar. His homily is about him and how excited he is about him, himself and him and whatever he is doing in his life.
LOL. You didn't give a last name. I'm guessing Joe Rogliano?

There was something I didn't like about Fr. Gatto right off the bat when he came to St. Greg's, and I left for another parish. I don't know if it is a show-offy quality. You kind of expect that from the pastor of a large congregation. To me, he seemed superficial, which is worse.

However, Gatto had a tough act to follow. His precursor Fr. Rupert Wright was an exemplary pastor and priest. Like many, I was sorry to see him retire from St. Greg's and even sadder when he passed away. Fr. Wright was right-on in every way. And he did not succumb to the temptation of acting the "superstar" of a thriving parish.

Look at this guy: his height and weight are the same as mine and nobody would call him fat (especially not to his face). Of course, I have curves instead of muscles, but still ...
