Refusing to drop his gun when told to do so by an officer? Thats one reason to shoot. Already shot a someone? Thats reason two. Pipe bobm in his back pack? Strike three, he's outta here. Sounds as though the officer was fully justified to use deadly force. Too bad this officer didn't get to deal with Bucky Phillips face-to-face, maybe there wouldn't have been as many hardships in that case.

If you were a cop and you responded to multile gun shots and the guy wouldn't put down the gun, You would shot too..You know absolutely NOTHING, not only of what happened last night, but about anything. Maybe you would have like to have been my 2 sons that responded being G.I. Firemen, and tried to help only to find a pipe bomb. You have no brains no guts, no comon sense. Why don't you crawl back into you're little Bucky world. Just remember what you put out you get back moron.

To the Dad and Brother and family my prayers go out to you.

Good thing this did not occur in Eden. Hey Chief Howard now you know why your 300 pound son who can't run should not be on the force.

I just feel bad for the officer who shot the suspect. Even though it was necessary and justified, I am sure it is difficult for him. On a side note, don't even that the bucky commentor anymore of our time and he will go away....

You've got to be kidding me... do you have any common sence? Or maybe you're one of the scumbags?

That poor girl is lucky to be alive. He probably didn't deserve to die, but it could have been her. He rolled the dice, he knew what would happen. Lets just be thankful she is okay! It could have been two.

Lynne from Buffalo is right - "nice guys" don't shoot people and don't carry around pipe bombs in their backpacks. He obviously had some deep rooted problems.
This cop had every right to shoot. Hey, it was his life or the suspect's. The guy was obviously a ticking timebomb and time ran out for him.
Prayers to the officers and volunteer firemen who responded and witnessed this; and prayers to the families involved.

The police are here to protect the public. The deceased was chasing a woman with a gun, he shot at her, he refused a police ofc order to stop,he was killed. He also had a bomb? Does this sound like a rational laaw abiding person to you? The police officer did his job, responsibly.
Prayers and gratitude to the officers that responded and to the victim.,I hope she survives. I wish her luck for her future.

I have to say this. Im sure i will get all kinds of remarks. The first person to write said she was this mans family member and he was a nice guy.To his family he may have been . But nice people can become mentally unsound.Only GOD knows why he shot at this woman and why he had a pipebomb. This is not normal behavior.Yes deputies and police officers have a duty to protect us and others. They were justifed in their actions. But the family of this man are still hurting and im sure shocked. Im glad the woman is going to be alright. Comments about Bucky Philips and Police officers are just not called for here.
