No, they will find nothing wrong with the bridges but still collect the tolls.

If you take into consideration all the time over the last 20 to 30 years that there have been remedial repairs done to the Grand Island Bridges; it would seem logical that an on going inspection program would already be in place. Oh wait, I used the word "logical"! Wouldn't it be common sense to incorporate safety into the general maintenance of our bridges and overpasses? Oh, there I go again, I used the phrase "common sense". Let's see when they last poured concrete on the decks in 40 degree weather it resulted in over 200 patches so far. So we are to feel safe and secure when the "powers to be" tell us the bridges are fine because..??

jacka ss it was just inspected in Nov 2006; that's less than a year ago. This inspection is just a result of the ignorant public's fear from the media's spin that every bridge in America is a deathtrap because one bridge colapsed.

For all the time and money that we've poured into these bridges, it would have been cheaper to make them out of stainless steel, or something less likely to rust-out. I lived on Grand Island, and I moved away the first chance I got. I have seen the non-stop repairs that plague commuters and tourists. Then adding a toll is really adding insult to injury.

Standing under the bridge looking up at it is not an inspection.Stay in Williamsville, your probably one of those 20 mile an hour morons that tie up the bridge traffic anyway.

Sept 15th, 8 D.O.T. trucks on the bridge, 2 men in each, no one doing anything, yet this will get documented as a bridge inspection.
