My condolences to the families of the men, but I have a question, why didn't they get out of the water when they were told to? It is my understanding that to beat a rip current, you have to swim parallel to the shore, and then find an area where it isn't as bad.

I guess right now it really does'nt matter what they were told. My deepest sympathy to all. All of you are in my prayers.

Why don't you find their grieving family members and ask them?? What difference does it make - they lost loved ones tragically and that is what you should be concerned with.

They were not informed that they were approaching an unsafe area, it was sudden.
