Good job on your homework research project! You should get together with TBird and teach him some of your computer skills!
Now stay tuned for your NEXT assignment.
Liberals are so gullible!
Again B N WHY don't YOU post web sites you get YOUR so called facts from???
Go look back at the other thread and we all can see that YOU only made ONE post with a reference to a web site we could go to see your so called facts when I posted many.
So maybe it is YOU that needs to learn how to use Google.
Again all I asked is if you make a statement be prepared to back it up with a web site or another source so we can go there and read these so called facts of yours.
You know like I do?

IF you had done some online research you would have found out that R.Reagan said HE didn't leave the Dem. party they left him.
and He said that he left the DEM. party because they were concentrating more on individval rights rather than a collietive philosophy
http://www.historyking.com/American-History/p...
Lets see Isn't that just what the REPs. are doing now?
Looking out for the individval.[ the rich ones]
and the DEMs are the ones looking out for the collietive good?
Aren't the REPs calling the DEMS Socialists?
Looking out for the collietive good.
One thing you have to give him, he cut taxes once and raised them 11 times and everybody remembers the tax cut but they don't remember all the tax raises.

FFS- wrote:
"When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe ." - TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT TO FIT CONSERVATIVE MEANING. TJ WAS STATING THAT AMERICA SHOULD FIGHT INDUSTRIALIZATION IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
Assessment: BS. Jefferson was all about industrialization. What are you going to claim that he was concerned about greenhouse gas emission? You are once again wrong (no surprise).

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."--JEFFERSON NEVER SAID THIS
Assessment: You are grasping to discredit the quote, but it captures the essence of the actual quote:
"To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association,—the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, & the fruits acquired by it.'"
(Again you are wrong.)

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world."
-- Thomas Jefferson - AN ACTUAL GOOD JEFFERSON QUOTE

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." -- AGAIN PURPOSELY MISQUTED AND TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT
Assessment: Again you are grasping. So sad. The quote provided captures the essence of the actual. You as usual can not offer the slightest reason for disputing the about quote from the actual.

"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government." -- JEFFERSON NEVER SAID THIS
Assessment: True

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson - APPEARED IN A ROUGH DRAFT, WAS NEVER PUBLISHED, AND HAD LARGER CONTXT
Obviously it was written or you would not know of it. And it was in fact his thoughts as the Va constitution was not solely his responsibility.

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - JEFFERSON NEVER SAID THIS
You don't know if he said it or not

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -- a GOOD JEFFERSON QUOTE, THE WHOLE LETTER SHOULD BE READ TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT

"To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."
-- A COWARDLY AND PURPOSEFUL MISQUOTATION. IN OTHER WORDS, JEFFERSON NEVER SAID THIS
Wrong again! You actaully made it through with a couple good points. Not that they were yours at all. Hahaha. The purpose of this quote is Jefferson's firm belief in the separation of church and state. Real difficult concept but try to figure it out.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY CONSERVATIVES JUST WRITE CRAP THAT FITS THEIR NEEDS AND THEN ATTRIBUTE IT TO JEFFERSON?
http://www.monticello.org - VERIFY BEFORE YOU POST CONSERVATIVE STUPIDITY
You obviously didn't read what was posted on your own attempt to corrupt this thread. Hahahahahahha.

What bathroom stall door did you pull that BS from?

Jefferson repeated expressed the importance of the armed citizen. Not only to reduce crime, but to keep the government focused on preserving the liberties of the people.

Wrong

George Mason was in favor of armed civilians. Jefferson was very much against it

I hate to have to disagree, but my famous ancestor was a beacon for personal freedom. He believed as written in his memoirs that I received as part of a long family tradition that the only way for the government to stay focused on the task of preserving the free society that said government should be reminded that the people have the ability to protect themselves at all times. Now should that manner of protection be wits, fists or guns is irrelevant. History proves time and again that unarmed citizens are much more compliant with the will of a tyranical government so you do the math.

It's great to see the sheer frustration liberals display when confronted with facts...Any objective scrutny, of the 2nd Amendment, and the men who wrote it, clearly proves that it has nothing to do with 'hunting'
..."whereas to preserve Liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them"...Richard Henry Lee

..."the Constitution shall never be construed...to prevent the people of the United States, who are peacable citizens, from keeping their own arms"...Samuel Adams

..."Americans have the right and advantage of being armed-unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms"...James Madison

..."the best we can hope for concerning the people at large, is that they be 'properly' armed"... Alexander Hamilton

..."to disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them"...George Mason

..."arms discuorage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property...Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law abiding) deprived the use of them "...Thomas Paine
