GI a good place to die?

Amherst, MA

#1 Feb 27, 2011
About 25-30 years ago, on my way west, I stopped for a car repair at Grand Island. My car was quickly repaired and I didn't stay very long, but did take an hour or two to drive around GI. I was very impressed. It has stuck with me all these years. Now that I am 60 and planning on dying some time in the future, not immediately, I was wondering if GI is still the kind of community I remember, filled with straight-forward, honest people. I want to pass on in a place that is kind and represents the best of our country. GI seemed like that kind of place years ago and I hope it still is.

Can anyone comment? Thank you all.
