Can someone please tell me why almost every time I read about a labor dispute its the Somalis claiming they are being wronged and the US and its businesses absolutely have to change to accomodate them and their religion? Taxi drivers, Target, IBP, etc etc.
Where does this arrogant attitude come from? Their homeland is one of the most messed up countries in the world yet they have this "I'm superior to you" attitude. I just dont get it.

Or at least use vacation days if they want time off. Freedom of religion is freedom to be of whatever religion you want, not the right to practice it where ever and whenever you want.

Yes, it is good that the non-muslim employees stood up and said something. More of the majority need to stand up everywhere.

Didn't they read the employee handbook? Looks like there are 114 to go.

employers are paying people to work and do their job. they should NOT have to pay a salary and allow them to play computer games, send emails, talk on their cell phones and whatever else they do instead of work.. all this and they still take their 15 minute breaks and lunch. grow up. this is what ups our prices of service and products.

I was talking about the majority of workers who filed a complaint saying that the somalians were getting preferential treatment. I do not agree with breaks for prayer time. Maybe I did not word it correctly - sorry for being human.

My employer gives us 2 personal days each year, we can use them to celebrate a religious holiday, go Xmas shopping or just sleep, it's our choice. We also have 2 15min breaks each day, which we can take between 9-11am and 2-4pm, along w/our lunch break. They did this to prevent anyone from crying it's not fair about whatever they feel they're entitled to do. Shame that company's feel obligated to bend over backwards for employee's & they still kicked get in the butt by a select few.

Interesting how the article states that the muslims are seeking a "compromise" and that is to have their prayer schedule accomodated, compromise?

I'm told they get this from the sickest of Americans, called the bleeding hearts. Seems they have programs all set up where they school the immigrants on how to demand and get all the social services that are available.

Another way to look at this is that the employer gets what they deserve. They wanted cheap, unskilled and perhaps illegal immigrant types. Fine, now deal with the costs of that decision - including the cost of losing business from people who take the time to learn about the products they market and avoid them, while alerting all your friends about all this, so they can avoid buying stuff from them, too!

I hate to agree with you Mike, but I am afraid that most American's have become sheep - for fear of being called racist, or be sued for everything they have. American's we need to stand up to this invasion before its too late.

Daily Horoscope for May 17

Taurus

You're in the mood to give yourself a lovely treat, especially if you're still recovering from yesterday's miseries. You might decide to splash out on some new cosmetics or other beauty products, especially if they smell good or are made with mostly natural ingredients. You could also be easily persuaded to go out for a slap-up meal, and may even be the first one to suggest it.
