A substantial reward is being offered, I hope someone talks. I know at one time they did say they were looking at Troy Brake. wonder if they still are?

I am sorry for your loss, I hope there will be a close to this one day so you may have a some sort of closure to your loved one, or at least have a reason or explanation for what happened.
Your in our prayers.

Whatever happened to the possibility of looking at Troy Brake to see if he had anything to do with this? It wouldn't surprise me, that guy is pure evil.

If he has already submitted his DNA back during the Mary Parker trial, I would think he would be ruled out. Just a guess.

Only if they found DNA on Janna. Her body was in the weather through a winter.

I was wondering that myself this morning. I don't think they ever released the cause of death.

If Ms.Kelly had been sexually assualted wouldnt sperm still exist in her body cavities. The cold weather would have froze most things, but it would seem that there could still be something left that they could check. I hope the family gets some answers very soon on the horrible crime. It is taking way to long to solve. The guilty party will give himself or themselves up by there bragging about getting away with it.

You'd think that, but sperm dissipates after awhile. Her body was very badly decomposed as she had been missing for so long and exposed to the elements. It breaks my heart, I wish this family could find closure. Just seems to me, the detectives are not doing enough to find Janna's killer. It will all come out in the wash though, when Jesus returns......but who knows how long that will be.

It's always difficult to lose a loved one. It's so sad that there are no clues toward a suspect in this case. Prayers to the family.

I agree with you Marti, but I think the family needs answers before Jesus returns. That could be along time yet. I hope for Troy Brakes family that he is not involved in yet another murder, but that is something we will never know until the case is solved. What happened to her business partner, werent they looking at him as a possible suspect at one time?

I am sure that her business partner was never a suspect. I am acquainted with these people, and I am sure he wasn't.

If you are acquainted with the family do they think that MR. Brake has anything to do with Jannas death?

I do not know. I didn't say the family. I actually was acquainted with the partners and employees of her insurance agency.
I would hope if there were a connection with Troy Brake that it would have come out by now. This is a truly tragic case.

This is a strange case. I don't recall do we know a cause of death or have they kept that secret? It sure was made to look like a robbery but wasn't the body found near a remote piece of property that she was involved with owning or buying somehow? I find it hard to believe that the average GR scumbag that would rob her, murder her, steal her car, steal her purse would just happen to dump her body out in Ottawa County near a piece of property she had something to do with. Sounds to me like an inside job made to look like a scumbag robbery.

The other odd thing is that the purse and car were found in rather busy areas. Of course they are not busy at 4 a.m. but they are not in the middle of no where for sure.

Everything about this case was odd. And there were many details left unreleased. I don't think she had anything to do with the piece of property. They searched another area of Ottawa County on a lead, but it was far from where she was discovered.

I read a couple of the articles from back then. They did search another piece of property a few miles away. I did not see anything about her having anything to do with property out there, I might have misremembered that and been thinking about the other search. It is certainly not a coincidence that they searched one remote area of Ottawa County and then found her in another. Whoever made that tip had some decent info. They also said it did not appear that she was robbed. The whole thing looks to me like scumbag looking for money and a ride except for the body being dumped in Ottawa County. The media should be looking for any search warrants that were issued for more info. I bet they got warrants for all kinds of records from lots of folks.
