As most of you already know the winter season is upon us, and with all that snow you are now seeing the plow trucks out and about pushing and moving it. I just want to let you all know that I am one of those guys, and although it can be a pain in the neck here are some tips that you might find helpful to help us get our jobs done faster.

When it is snowing and you know that we are going to be out, please make sure that you keep your vehicles parked out of the streets if it is possible. Also try to understand that when we are plowing and we happen to push the snow into your entrance of your driveway we are not trying to make your life miserable, we really have no where else to put it.

Try not to push the snow back out into the road, this does not affect us at all, sometimes we end up pushing it right back where you have worked, it is better to pile it up then to work so hard trying to get us back, besides, when you do that you are really causing problems for the people who live around you.

When you notice that we are out, which is most of the time when you are sleeping, try to understand that most of us have been out for long hours, and if you happen to leave your vehicle in the way and we can’t get around it, this really puts a lot of pressure on us as well, and in order for us to do a good job, we need to have the areas clear as much as possible. By helping us, we are helping you.

Another issue that I really want to share with you is really important, as you know we put down a lot of salt on the roads and driveways, and this really can eat through your paint and metal on your vehicles, and the best way to prevent this from consuming to valuable transportation is to make sure you wash your car at least twice a month.
