Gas chambers are better, it's a slower kind of death.

MI has never had the death penalty. So bring back what? Maybe you meant to say "Michigan, lets get the death penalty." Either way, be informed first.

No to the death penalty. The only people who gain out of are the lawyers who put in appeal after appeal, year after year. It takes our society, who's rightfully fearful of death, to be able to try, judge, convict and execute within six months before I'll support the death penalty.

When found guilty of such a crime;
Life in solitary, no TV or anything not even a magazine (perhaps a Bible), one meal per day, one cold shower per week, only two hours of light per day, no visitors, no contact with humans, no going outside. After a while, he'd prefer death.
Any other ideas?

I recall reading an article about instituting a death penalty in Michigan some years ago (I believe it was after a police officer had been killed in the line of duty). The article referenced a poll taken (I don't know how "scientific" it was) among Michigan residents and their opinions on the issue. What I DO remember was the #1 group of people OPPOSED to the death penalty were (by occupation) PRISON WORKERS! Nice huh? Nothing "self-serving" there... At the risk of running afoul of folks that believe it's wrong to take ANY life, some people just deserve to die.
These two "brothers" (sarcasm intended) are prime examples.
