What about the Reagon and Bush policies that got us in this mess?
Which policy?

Was it Regan's tax cuts that doubled revenues?
Was it Bush's tax cuts that brought 54 consecutive months of job growth?

Granholm is to blame for MI economy. 20 consecutive months of job declines. Most of which have occurred after her income tax increase, the largest in state history.

I believe the definition of insanity is to keep electing Liberals and expecting different results.

The problem isn't Granholm, or Obama.
It's a bunch of greedy morons on wall street who gambled all of our pensions and lost, an auto industry that didn't look past the end of it's own nose, deregulation of tax law pertaining to overseas operations, and a whole host of other bad decisions of many people.
Then again, if anonymous online forums are where you have reasoned discourse, they wouldn't be full of word-hyphenating morons.
Grow up and do something about it
Completely right Mike. Also, your correct usage of a hyphen makes me incredibly happy.

The willingness to let businesses go overseas (ie. China and Mexico in particular) to produce everything has contributed a lot to the state's economic decline. Years ago when Michigan still had a robust manufacturing sector we did not have declining home values, high unemployment, etc. It seems stupid to just write off these jobs as too low tech, etc. Manufacturing provided the backbone to the state's economy for a long time, providing good wages to workers who then spent their income supporting other economic entities within the state. I for one would be willing to pay more for goods in order to go back to a world without WalMart and the other power-hungry corporate scumbags, a world where we still had locally owned businesses that thrive.

Don't really think you can blame Granholm for the auto industry deciding to not be competitive with foreign companies and getting totally left behind. Oh wait I mean, I know what you mean! It was Granholm's fault that gas prices went up and people had to stop buying their awesome gas guzzling American cars that fall apart in 5 years and gave them up for much better built foreign cars! So her fault! She was the one that mandated that Michigan stick to only manufacturing industries over the past century. And this national recession? Totally her fault. The whole thing! Bad Granholm, bad!!!

The only thing you democrats are ticked off about are the last two elections.
Well, now you have control. So, the burden is all on you now. The last time I checked the Presidency is not a entry level position. But, Obama lacks the ability and experience to know that. Their failing
miserably. Wait two years, to see the effects of whats being done now.

Are you suggesting we forbid companies from moving? How would you enforce such measure? With a gun?

Most people like paying less for goods and services. You are free to pay more if you want. We'd rather take the savings.

BTW...just yesterday Wal-Mart handed out $2 billion in bonuses to its hourly workers.

It seems like it used to be that businesses were in some respects, as much about creating jobs as they were about making profits. Now businesses are run like mutual funds. It's strictly about the bottom line percentages. It isn't even about dollars, it's about percentages. Where I work, they would rather make 100,000 dollars in profit at 15% margin, than a million dollar profit at 5%. It's all about percentages.

Well
MovedoutofMichigan, We are thinking that ourselves.
Its so difficult for people to just drop and move.
Selling their existing home(s) is rather difficult.
Now, I'm not sure here you are, but it looks more and more appealing everyday. We are renting, we jumped on top of it last year anticipating a market crash and sold our home. Renting seem to fit better.
So, I'm thinking this is the year for us to vacate.
We have a second home we purchased three years ago.
A vacation home in Beleize on Ambergris Caye. Its been a good second income, but I'm thinking living there looks better and better....lol.

Some of you don't want to believe ALL the presidents except JFK have been involved with taking our government DOWN, but they have . It started with FDR, after the great depression, A group of 12 Billionaires decided to take control of our world, They greated the 9-11, the Irac war, JFK being murdered, Robert being murdered, Reagan being shot, and their name is the Bilderberg Group. I may be arrested at any time , but the public MUST know our whole world economic downfall has been orchastrated by this group.. Go to http://www.infowars.com watch, Obama Deceptions, you will know who, why and how they have destroyed the world, in order to errect a New World Order.. Our lives will NEVER be the same . France has been the only country of the top 27 not to stay IN the EU, now they have filed a request to join again. This is the only country the main players didn't have control of. Now they will. This is NOT a joke or a hoax, this is what our country is coming to, Open your eyes, and get ready, the time is running out for FREEDOM..
