Once a felon, always a felon. Make a mistake (no matter how long ago), there is no recovery in the eyes of the law. Same holds true today. Got cash? Felony is more apt to be reduced to a misdemeanor. Charged with a felony that was actually a misdemeanor and a court appointed gravy train attorney... too bad for you. In the end, it should never be about money, but about justice. Unfortunately, money is a part of the American justice game. Always has been, always will be.

What about police officers? John Torres the Chief at Stockbridge was fired from Lansing Police Dept in 2007. Torres was caught driving drunk when he was arrested following a two car fatal accident in which the other driver fourty-two year old Mark kline was killed. Before long Torres was hired as a Stockbridge police officer and now is the Chief. What do you think about Torres policing Stockbridge and making decisions on residents going to prison?

You have had politicians all over the state stealing from the coffers, small amounts and large amounts. Since they were "good" people before they committed their crimes, they are let off easy.

But you got small time thieves who have had a few little thefts in prison for long periods of time. Its all upside down...and no one is standing up about this issue.
