You've obviously never met Sindee. And if she were so greedy and motivated by money, why did she choose a career in the Red Cross? Also, Red Cross receives no federal funding of any sort, bailout or otherwise.
Now go put Sesame Street back on, you window-licker.
Just because you WORK for a non-profit doesn't mean you don't draw a salary!

Ask yourself this people: If you knew your job was about to be eliminated and you had a friend at the paper, how would you spin this to make yourself look good?
Think about it.
The Red Cross staff know how this happened and she is not a martyr - although this spin makes her much more employable-looking, now doesn't it!
Brilliant! There may be some good execs out there...but history definitely hasn't proved that! And sorry for all you people that claim to know Sindee....the Red Cross isn't one of the innocent ones either. Look at their history - no one is crystal clean anymore. Call it skepticism or call it just being weary of what moves execs make and get publicized. She very well could have layed herself off silently. No one FORCES her to announce anything!

you're missing the point. she could have made much more as a manager at Steelcase or Herman Miller than at the Red Cross. of course she still drew a salary, everyone needs to eat.
