Finally, someone who's not afraid to tell the truth! In "Dear Leader's" presence, no less!

Watch the YouTube video of the speech.
Although he is using different words, his message is the same: "a good education will get you a good job (or should)". Once you have a good job you can take care of yourself and your family (don't need the Gov't). At that point, the National debt will go down (not up). You have a Health Savings Plan from birth (you are responsible for your health/costs early). Change the tax code to a % of income.
The only problem with his thinking is, as we have witnessed over the past 30 years, when the 1% are allowed to keep more income by NOT paying as much tax; good jobs go overseas and low wage w/no benefit jobs are created here. Which is what caused the welfare costs to go up.
His message (a very good speech) is NO different than most people. After you watch it, you will think the same thing.

Why are you putting down the 1% when all you want is what they have? Bill Clinton sent millions of jobs overseas when America's economy was booming! Obama could save America's economy by signing the Keystone Pipeline Drilling and give millions of jobs to Americans.
The only jobs he is concerned about are giving jobs to illegals! Actually punishing Americans if they do not give employment to illegal aliens. What has Obama done for Americans?
Get past Obama's zebraness and you might discover a whole new world. And forget about free money, you are not getting any! FOOL! Breaking it Down!

Read and educate yourself!
Read and educate yourself!
If you would take the time to research topics before you post your comments, you would come across as intelligent, or do you even care?

"Dr. Carson's success is a rebuke to the entitlement-envy-greed mentality"

One question: "HOW DID HE PAY FOR HIS EDUCATION"?
Keep in mind, when he got his advanced education, it was cheaper than now and in the 80's he got to keep more of the money he invested (unearned income @ a lower tax rate than EARNED income)! Don't you know how the 1% got so rich? From the working poor and middle class going to work each day EARNING it for them.
As he stated, when he was educated, he was educated. Since then, education in this country has been dumbed down. Didn't you listen to his speech? POTUS is and has been all about improving the education system and access to a good affordable education. POTUS has said time and again, education is the key to a good job and life. If you would bother reading papers or listening to real news programs, you would know that there are 10's of thousands of college graduates out there that CANNOT find a good job w/benefits; rather jobs that DO NO require a college degree. Apparantly Dr. Carson doesn't read/listen to news either. Just lives in his 1950's Republican bubble.
Dr. Carson's remedy to healthcare issues is for the future (and it is not new). He had NO SOLUTION to the current situation. Most people would say, go to a public option for birth to grave. Taxpayers' running the healthcare system would cut out all those HUGE paychecks to mgmt. and HUGE PROFITS for doing NOTHING but causing deductibles to go up and restricting basic healthcare.
If you really listened to his speech, his ideas are really SIMPLE ; but NOT applicable at this point in the game (like Mitt R., he is using 1950's solutions in 2013 after the great depression W.'s admin. put us through). Can't you see this?
The US, since the 80's, has 47% of the population at or below the poverty line. FACT!
Keep in mind, Dr. Carson is trying to sell his and his wife's book or did you not hear him promoting it????????
I am now convinced that you hear only what you want to hear, correct?

Now that I think about it, he is a Donald Trump want-to-be.

Laws can not fix laziness and stupidty!!There are alot of people that dont want jobs, they just want free, these are the people that need to be cut off!!!
#9 Feb 15, 2013
Most people are 100% in agreement with the cheaters being thrown off of welfare and put to work. And the 1% cheaters should be fined and put in jail. See we have cheaters on both ends. Agree?
You also have 99% of the people who feel that they should be paid a fair living wage with benefits to match their productivity on the job. Agree? This is where laws come in. The 1% don't want to be regulated, but want to regulate the hell out of the working 99%.
There are working people, who don't get paid a fair wage w/benefits, who need help from other taxpayers to make ends meet. It has been reported over and over again, top managements' pay has gone up 200% since the 80's for getting more productivity with less pay from the workers (workers do twice the work so no need to hire more people). This needs to be fixed!!!
Everyone speaks about abortion being against GOD. How about cheating and mistreating people after they are here?
THIS IS THE ONLY LIFE YOU WILL HAVE!

What I see is "your blind jealousy" of the so called 1%. what I know is, 99% Do Not agree with you. Did you Not notice that No one on topix agrees with anything you post under any of the numerous names you use?
#11 Feb 15, 2013
I seem to be cracking through the bubble. You seem nervous. You have NO idea how most people think - think about the election.
No one is jealous of people who cheat/steal for their wealth. What goes around, comes around. These people will get what they gave.
I admire successful people who have created wealth through providing good jobs with benefits while working along side their employees. These types of employers (which we need alot more of) are who will make our economy healthy! How about you?
#12 Feb 15, 2013
Actually, socialists do make me very nervous.
#13 Feb 15, 2013
You have totally convinced me that you are a poor (probably on welfare illegally)person.
Any time someone calls people names rather than giving info (sourced), I can only think they are hiding the truth, correct?
You would feel better if you just went for the truth!
Your comments make you sound like you are from Mississippi.
#14 Feb 15, 2013
OMG, ROFLMAO! Are you drunk or did I touch a nerve.
And what, pray tell is wrong with Mississippi?
#15 Feb 15, 2013
Someone interviewed about 60 people from Mississippi and they sounded like you.
They said that the libs are all on welfare bringing down the country. Most of Mississippi Republicans interviewed did not have a job, but rather was getting a check from the US Gov't. They said the Gov't owed them.
It was the funniest and saddest thing I think I have ever seen/heard.
You are making general negative statements about others, which leaves me to believe you are one of them, but don't know it.
#16 Feb 15, 2013
From what I see Welfare is given out too freely
expecting nothing from the recipients in return. Mandatory education for young moms/dads on the system. If they can't get a job ...public service/volunteering. The young people on welfare in my state just seems to be getting bigger. things can turn around but welfare agencies have a politically correct mindset.
Even the simple reading of a book a week. What you have now in some young moms' apartments are people hanging out when it may not be in the best interest of the children.
#17 Feb 15, 2013
Man you just didn't get his point. Man oh man.

#19 Feb 16, 2013
Wait for it. You disagree with the poster of a hundred different noms de guerre, you will be called stupid and uneducated!
#20 Feb 16, 2013
You missed his point. His PARENT made him read books rather than watch TV; not the government.
WHERE ARE THE PARENTS IN ALL OF THIS? Parents need to parent their kids and expose them to the religion of their choice. If they do, the religion will follow them ALL DAY LONG; all their life long. School is for learning math, science, reading... If the parents can't parent, take the kids away. What we need to do is STOP rewarding bad behavior. I am sick to death of all the unmarried women with kids issues (need to pick up the baby daddys and get them jobs too so they pay for their kids - and not just once in a while; regularly. It's the Parents mindset we need to change). We have thrown too much money at this only to make it worse; not better. The kids are the victims in this terrible cycle.
It's funny how you want Gov't to control other people's lives, not yours. Well Nina, it DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! We don't have individual laws; it would be like the tax code.
Most of what Dr. Carter said in his speech, promoting his book, has been said over and over again in other words. The great idea about health savings plan is basically "OBAMACARE". Why are you for Dr. Carter, but against Obamacare (which will take care of now and the future)? Sure, Obamacare needs to be tweaked, but it is a good SOLID start. Same goes for Medicare. We should not be keeping people alive with no quality of life. If you want to live long, then live right!
What is needed is GOOD JOBS! You all scream you don't want the Gov't to tax the people so they can put people to work on the infrastructure, teachers in the classrooms, police on the street and firefighters. So why aren't you screaming about the 1% not creating all those good jobs promised with the tax cuts they got?
You see, corporations went to W. in 2005 and said "cut the corporate tax rate and we will bring our profits to the US and create lots of good jobs w/benefits". He agreed and they did not keep their end of the bargain. They are STILL LAUGHING at him today. They tried the same with POTUS and he said no, you go first, create lots of good jobs w/benefits and we will give you credit on your tax return. So Dr. Carter is saying, trust them again. What is that old saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
If what Dr. Cater said in his speech was the first time you heard these ideas, then you don't keep up with the news. Over the years there were both Dems and Repubs in Congress promoting the same.
I feel that Dr. Carter was there to promote his book.
