How can a downgrade be good? For whom?
S & P is being investigated for insider trading. SEC wants to know who was told in advance about the downgrade. Did the average stock trader get the call? This is VERY fishy!!!!
Wallstreet claims to ups and downs in the market is due to overseas countries like Spain and Italy and now France; a fear that they cannot pay their bills.
We need reform; cut the tax credits that go to companies that hire more that 15% overseas. Increase taxes on over $1/million a year in income. Once we are on more stable ground (debt down and more people working with benefits), then we reduce taxes. At that point more level playing field.

David Vitter for Gov and Jindal for President?
Can we NOT do better than this? If not, we have VERY SERIOUS ISSUES!
These two men are 100% PRO CORPORATE AMERICA (1%).
They keep telling you to be AGAINST big Gov't (taxpayers); but to vote for CORPORATE AMERICA to take over? When was the last time you voted in a Chairman of the Board, President of a corporation or sat in on a Board meeting with say so???
Turning LA into a sales tax only state will mean that taxes will go up on the Working Poor and Middle Class and WAY DOWN on the 1%(no taxes on unearned income). Do you really want your tax rate to go up? READ UP!
"In other states, such as Texas and Louisiana, the oil extraction industry has created a small group of billionaires. These states also have some of the largest impoverished populations in the country. In Louisiana, more than one in five residents live below the poverty line, significantly higher than the national rate of just 15.9%."

Think about it. The less tax they have to pay the BIGGER the PROFIT MARGIN they will want. Your wages will stay the same or go down (there goes benefits and they will blame OBAMACARES).
Don't think this will happen? What do you think happened when Reagan cut the UNEARNED TAX RATE over 30 years ago? Poverty line moved up, pensions were replaced by 401k's (and the corporations will find a way to do away with these too), and now SS and Medicare in jeopardy.
You keep saying GO TO WORK, but where are the GOOD JOBS PROMISED WHEN TAX RATE was cut?
You are playing with your kids' and grandkids'... future! Think before you act!

Which is worse, sexting (sending pics) and running for Mayor of New York or visiting prostitutes(caught in New Orleans and Washington DC) and running for Gov. of LA?
Watching the news this a.m. and seeing Weiner take a page out of Vitter's play book was priceless.
The only difference, Weiner's wife was by his side and voiced her support. I guess that means it wasn't as bad as visiting prostitutes.
What do you think? Your vote will speak your beliefs!

Reported, David Vitter visited prostitutes in two cities (N.O. and DC).
His actions, to me, were more offensive to common decency, not to mention family values, than what Weiner did and yet he still has his job and there is talk he is running for Gov. of LA next year.
I Do Not Get It!

David Vitter Calls For Ethics Probe Of Colleagues After Being Targeted By Prostitution Amendment
A proposed Democratic amendment barring senators who have been investigated for soliciting prostitutes from receiving health insurance has hit a nerve with Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), its presumed target. Vitter, who survived a prostitution scandal in 2007, called on Friday for an ethics probe of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).
Without mentioning prostitution explicitly, Vitter accused the Democratic senators of violating rules for "proposing and circulating through the press legislation that ties Membersí personal healthcare benefits to their performance of specific acts and votes."
Vitter said the move constituted "attempted bribery, and the exact sort of behavior that the Senate Ethics Committee has previously condemned."
"Senator Vitter has manufactured a bizarre and phony attack that demeans the Senate," said Boxer, who chairs the Ethics Committee.
"Senator Vitter's charges are absurd and baseless," said Kristen Orthman, a spokeswoman for Reid. "This is nothing more than Senator Vitter's desperate attempt to change the subject from his previous ethics issues."
Vitter just learned that IT NEVER goes away! Cautionary tale to the young. Read and learn.
