My heart is breaking for this family.I have known them for many years. They are the kindest people that you will ever meet. Mr. John Smith was always so kind to everyone in which he came in contact. He was always smiling and jolly. He loved his family so very much.He will be dearly missed by the whole community.I hope justice will be swift and severe.I know the community will be there for the families support.
This is a horrible crime. Please know our prayers are with family. We love the Smiths. I believe I speak for all of Grand Bay.May God be with you and comfort your souls.

Thank you, Dear Lady Angela, for your comments. John was a cousin of mine. Your words are a comfort to those of us who have lost a friend or a relative.

I own a small business in Gulf Breeze, Florida. It could happen to me. This crime should remind us to pray for our loved ones, neighbors, and our country.

On behalf of the Smith family, thank you for your prayer and support during this difficult time.

Hey Kenneth. I am John's oldest daughter. I would like to thank Mrs. Angela also. How are you related to my daddy? I don't remember him ever talking about you?

I'm in the Coast Guard, stationed in Michigan. I grew up with John's wife, Sheryl. My heart really goes out to her, the family, First Baptist Church, and all of my hometown, Grand Bay. I was home for a visit a few weeks ago and saw John at church. He was always smiling and loved his wonderful family. We will all miss John. It still doesn't seem real. God bless you and comfort you.

My heart and prayers goes out to the Smith Family. He was a Godly man who loved his Lord and family. He was also a faithful servant at the First Baptist Church. I too was home at Christmas and it's hard to believe how quick life changes. God Bless

First, my apologies for a public post on a personal matter. I know of no other way to answer.

Elizabeth, I am the son of your grandfather's brother. Please write me at gulftech@juno.com.
