I wont even comment on the previous comment but try to add something constructive.

What I hope people in Granby are beginning to realize is they can not put their heads in the sand thinking they are still living in a rural farming communities where nothing ever happens. Every problem that plagues other towns, plagues Granby to. Drug and alcohol abuse does not discriminate by zip code, domestic violence and child abuse happen in every town in America. There is not much any one of us can do about that and this was not the first buglary in Granby,(I know because I was burlarized when I lived there) and it will not be the last. Prevention is the key and it is more likely if the people of Granby relaize it can, and does happen there to. Lets learn from it and move on. This is the world we livein. Nobody is immune

Left Granby now in Ramona, CA, and concur with the above comment. Burglaries *do occur, as does just about every other crime. Things like child abuse and domestic abuse are no longer a secret. Although I do not miss it, Granby is a great town and just any other town with regard to problems. Just didn't like the high taxes and high cost of living, and then there's the weather there.............

Hey --- I own a red pick up truck and live in Granby. What do you mean that is a sight that doesn't fit in? Granby and pick up trucks go together like cows and milk (of which we still have quite a few).

You may own a pick up but Granby is far far from a farming town. It is a suburb, face it. Further, in the neighborhoods that were targeted, there are no farms and you are more likely to see a BMW or other SUV than you are a red pickup. It is out of place.
