The removal of rolling hills has already been performed! A lot of this property is already in a flood zone and can't be developed.

The growth of Granby is stagnant ..Wish our taxes were, but with high paid worthless positions such as the Community Developer, Frannie Armentano at $150,000 plus benefits is only one of the many positions that need to be removed to keep taxes down.

Just as the Honorable Attorney General Blumenthal has asked for the salaries and bonuses of the corporate world, ALL town positions should be listed showing responsibilities, hours works, benefit costs, so the public can have a better decision on where their hard earned money is spent!!

Stand up for you rights!!!

TAXPAYERS UNITE!!!!!!!

An excellent investment. Anyone that thinks loss of good farmland is unimportant is not thinking about the future generations. Same with water supply and quality.

Yippie! Wonderful decision not only for people who value the dairy industry, but for Dr. Davis himself. His farm-his legacy.

How dare you use this appropriate distribution of taxpayer dollars to attack local town leaders regardless of what they earn and do! Go to a budget meeting this spring and present your issues there! I dare you! Haven't you heard? A NEW Granby is coming!

The "Boy's Club" runs this Town, EVERYONE knows and it wil be the downfall!!

The Boy's aren't that smart but have the money. Their time is coming, so it is a waste of time going to a budget meeting considering that Town Emplyess can now vote in their own raises, since only 200 people are required to pass a budget in a Twon of 11,000 people.

What is wrong with this picture? It is like Congress voting on their own raises too. P{olitics has become VERY CORRUPT, and when things are bought to light, more will be going to JAIL!!!!

The time is coming, and justice will soon begin!!

DEAR JOHN....LOL

Too bad the center of Town looks like ten tons of potatos in a two ton sack. Everyhting is crammed together with improper parking lots, what a shame that the Town of Granby cannot plan anything right.

Take a look around a traffic is terrible, once again ....No planning.

Take a look athe schools...yes once again ...No planning. The High School gyms are hideous. The Community Gym is a total waste.

Yes...maybe the bigger Towns do have their act together. More thought...better outcome!!!

No one wants to come to Granby for anything and guess what Taxes will keep going up until a new administration comes in with New thoughts and direction!!

Sorry John....you just got DUMPED...LOL

You are so right!
Just as AG Blumenthal has asked fo rthe salaries and benefits of the top executives of the Power and Telephone industires, TOWNS should be required to post every Town Employee's salary and benefits. This would make the people who vote on the budget more knowledgable
But just think it only takes a majority of 200 people at a Town meeting in Granby to increase the budget....this is completely wrong for a Town of 11,000 people.
TIME FOR A CHANE...YES WE CAN DO IT!!!

So what are we waiting for? Let's find those people from other posts who contend that "A new Granby is coming?" Now would be a good time....to get going! Spring is just around the corner! Time to walk the talk!

Too many people in this Town don't even realize how their Taxes are spent and worse than that how they are approved. The "Town Charter" needs to be updated.
When less than 200 people can raise everyone's taxes in a Town of 11,000+ there is something really wrong!!
The Twon just accepts the decisions of the few people that have been driving this Town into the ground!!
Fine time to start Building more buildings in Towwn, when many remain empty. Yes...empty store fronts will be a good image for this Town...LOL

You re so right!!

Look at Geissler's parking lot...a major accident waiting to happen and now they put a crosswalk right in the way of te traffic flow...a lot of CRAP in one area...sort of in a HEAP!!!

If someone would have give some thought, not a lot, the center of Town could have been set up much, much better!

But then again, look at who's running the Town, a bunch of overpaid, deadheads!

I find little more irratating then the purchase of open space. The state collecting taxes from every worker in Ct, and buying land in areas very remote from them. The state should not be giving any grants to any towns. The towns should be self supporting. This is the reason we have runaway spending throughout this country. It starts right here.

Your right ...but guess what the Towns are to blame too. When you pay a Community Developer over $125,000 plus benefits for a Town of 11,000 people that is completely ludicrous.

Another example is what Administrators make in the school system for the small Towns, completely out of Control!

Hopefully other Towns will follow West Hartford's example and limit raises!

Good luck - "Taxation without Representation!"

Your right -TIME TO CUT TAXES and get rid of the wothless jobs lke the Communty Developer, Fran Armentano, who makes over $125,000 dollars! This and other Town positions need to be brought in-line with the Private Sector. The benefits for Town employess are way out of line.

Just as the Governor is cutting back , the Town of Granby needs to cut back NOW!

Voice your opinion ...SPEAK UP!

OR

Forever pay higher and higher Taxes...NO TAX INCREASE PERIOD!!!!!

You have a selectmen, town manager, town meeting form of government. The town meeting (which includes those adjourned to referendum) is direct represenation - taxpayers and voters speaking for themselves - and the antithesis of "Taxation without Representation".

Just as Big Busines and Federal and tate Government has shown us, there is Corruption everywhee!

If people don't know the facts they cannot vote responsible. Take for instance that it only takes majortof 200 people at a To Meeting to increase the Taxes for veryone in Granby, a Town of over 11,000 people...hmmmm let me think for a second, there are enough Town employees to vote for their own raises.

You are right..this is "Taxation without Representation"

Time to bring the Town Charter up-to-date!!

The Petition is coming..please sign, seal and deliver!!! LOL ROFLAO!!

You are so right, some people are just idiots and miss the point.

All Town employee salaries should be found easily on the internet, so that when budgets are voted they can make educated decisions.

The grammer is not as important as the results, but some people need to put in their two cents worth!!

Time to cut Town personnel, such as the Granby Community Developer Position that gets paid an unbelievable $125,000+, plus benefits.

You are so right...for WHAT??

For a Town of 11,000 people that is far too much for the far too little that this position has done to keep taxes down!
