Anyone who thinks high fructose corn syrup is as addictive as cocaine in not only an idiot, but knows NOTHING about addiction.

You don't even know what addiction is. It's not a desire or want. It's a physical dependence.

You really minimize the problem and seriousness of true addictions when you post nonsense like that.

You walk a very dangerous line talking about things like this that you know nothing about.

I just googled "corn syrup addiction." Maybe you ought to do the same. Apparently YOU are misinformed. And, for the record, I don't know Tawni, have never met/seen her, nor do I have any particular stance or opinion of her. I simply wanted to do my research on this subject especially after reading your now, completely unintelligent post.
Funny, but I never mentioned Tawni whoever.

I'm sure you can find a reference to "corm syrup additction" on the Internet. I can find reference to "aliens taken over US Capitol'. doesn't make it true. Do you believe the supermarket tabloids as well?

If you and her use google as your source of medical and scientific information, you better watch out.

People may become addicted to almost anything; cocaine, heroin, alcohol, tobacco, sex, and YES even high fructose corn syrup. While some addictions create more serious problems than others, they are still addictions. Even if this weren't the case being wrong on a subject doesn't make someone an idiot. Not talking, and learning about those things you know nothing about, now that can make you an idiot. You walk that dangerous line when you do not talk. listen, and learn. You see about five years ago my cardiologist said quit smoking or be dead within the year, I took the pack from my pocket and threw it away. Five years later that urge to smoke is still here, I live with it every day, I DO KNOW something about addiction. Like I said you can become addicted to almost anything some addictions being more serious than others but still addictions: That is truth and if you think it isn't then you are the idiot.

You didn't mention Tawni but true to Topix form the second poster did AND apparently this corn syrup addiction subject came from her Facebook. I do recall my doctor and several articles mentioning how you can become addicted to soft drinks. It's the caffeine and sugar- so why not corn syrup?
I'm done with posting on this subject.
.

Yes, the same way you become addicted to watching television, or taking bubble baths.

Big difference in habit forming and addictive.

I do hope you are correct on one point, that you're "done posting on this subject". That would be the most responsible thing you could do at this time.

Actually there is very little difference between habit forming and addictive; and the most responsible thing MRC could do is to continue the discussion. You seem to believe that you are the know all end all on this subject, I think you are not, as I said; I have an addiction and am more that just a little versed on the subject.

Well at least the last half of your forum name fits. I have run from no one, I hide from no one, and have been destroyed by no one. You may keep your sympathy as I do not need it, you on the other hand could use it yourself, I DO find you all over the MBs and you say that I am addicted to them>pot calling the kettle black. Not to mention your addiction top Tawni, you chase her all over the MBs, it must be awful to be so addicted to someone that you must use her name on this forum. At least I got my addiction to tobacco when I was young and we weren't aware of the hurt it causes. You on the other hand adult, addicted to Tawni, and pathetic.

No one owns me. However Tawni owns you. You use her name, and let her control most of your thoughts, addicted to Tawni, pathetic. And as I said very little difference between habit and addiction. Merely one missing component, damn that is very different; NOT! My mistake, only one MB but every subject on it. I am on two merely because for some reason they overlap. I also live in Parker Co. and have some small interest in what goes on in Weatherford.

Hey MRC, You say you don't know Tawni, but the you talk about this topic being in her Facebook.

Looks like you have been busted.

I know a lot about Texas, I know that those who work for TCEQ are NOT city employees, I don't care what David Masks job title is, and while I do not know the hundred block of S. Main I know the last time I was out there it was the area near the Interstate. I also know that you are obsessed with Tawni, and that the emphasis should be placed on the word SMALL when your mind is being referenced. It is really a shame that you think you are sooooo much better than everyone else, because you aren't better than anyone!

<quoted text>Wrong! Your own words tell us you didn't know TCEQ employees are not Weatherford city employees.

My post: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/weatherford-t...

"I just got off the phone with Carmela in the Office of Water at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. No complaints against the City of Weatherford have been filed. Tawni and her little band of rumormongers and liars are lying."

"Texan's" replies: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/weatherford-t...

"They will not give that information out over the phone. You must file an open records request, then they have X number of days to answer said request."

And, http://www.topix.com/forum/city/weatherford-t...

"If this person did in fact give out said information over the phone without autherization, or an open records request she could find herself up to her neck in BS. I know not if there were complaints filed against Weatherford, and it makes me no difference one way or the other. I do know that for a CITY EMPLOYEE (my emphasis) to give out such information is a definite no no."

NO "CITY EMPLOYEE" gave out that information. She is a TCEQ employee!

You may have been born in Texas, but you clearly no longer live here.
You know, I didn't want to believe it and it took some convincing, but I now believe you are obaman2012. While I agree with your point, I don't know anybody else that would be so obsessed as to copy and past older posts.

First off, it's a shame that you're back. I'm just going to have to destroy you. Second off, sad to see you're no better off than you were before.

The gang was called on their waste water LIE and so in response they start calling our President horrible names.
Great strategy.

I must admit I misread your first post on complaints, if your are an elected, or hired city, county, or state official you can get that information with out an open recoprds request. My mistake, please don't throw me in the briar patch Miss Tawni Lies. I do live in Texas, Parker Co. in fact, and you really are pathetic, obsessed with Tawni, hysterical over Obama getting back in the White House, and being an a$$ in general. I'm not real happy to have Obama again but we will survive him the same as we have every bad president we've ever had.

Not completely; I just got off the phone with TECQ, and it is somewhat more complex than you say. It all depends on how much information you want. I was wrong, you can get the yes or no for was a complaint filed, after that it depends on a number of things. SO I WAS WRONG, it happens, not too often, but it does happen. There you were right I was wrong. Now you can giggle all the way home, and get back to obsessing over Tawni.
