They did not care what the lot # was or anything else. SO....same crap...different day. I do not know why I even try to get help. No one gives a damn......Especially the lawyers....
They only want category 1, 2 and 3 cases, they have big payouts, the rest of us will never get justice. The girl i spoke with said the cases that did not settle would end up getting nothing.

Same Crap, Different Day. Its all the same. They pick and choose. Lets not try to make it equitable. Lets not look at all of the victims or how long they have been in pain, anxiety, poverty. The courts will feel like they did something, the lawyers get lots of money, the manufacturers get off relatively easy ( all they have to do is deny payments and "muck" up what settlements they are supposed to do.), the FDA gets to puff out its chest and say "SEE WHATY WE DID!!" and the the rest of the guinea pigs get swept under the rug. There is no justice for us. And I doubt, unless your dead, will anyone get a real payout worth all the crap they have gone through. Especially after Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Dr.'s etc etc. Excuse my negativity here but I cannot wait for the day this ALL comes out. Burn them at the Stake! Off with their heads! Whack their pee-pee! Lets hope that day is soon, shall we? Best Wishes......

All Meshed Up, Remember to be calm, cool and collective, find out why we are on the category list but are not getting a payout. I can not get the real truth as to why some are getting payouts but others are not. If it starts to go south then tell them how you feel. This lawyer who is at the trials in Rhode Island should be able to answer you questions. Like to be in on this conference call. Good Luck
What's the website that I need to go to in order get make/mod of mesh.

I found dr ramshaw in Daytona very compationet and does give you referrals to patience that had meshed removed by him not all good though. He does respond back to e-mails and some times phone calls , he is very busy removing hundred of mesh
If this is Bruce Ramshaw,MD- he placed my mesh. And after 12 hours of surgery, that took 4 feet of small bowel n 3/4 of my bladder, leaving me with peripheral nerve damage. I've been looking for him he moves around alot. Glad to see him removing them. He had to realize they were literally killing people.

<quoted text> Thanks again, Blair. Its not a sure thing anytime you get a lawyer working for you. I just would like the chance at being part of one of these suits against Bard/Kugel. I may not get a thing out of it but it sure is better than not doing anything. When I settled my Workmens Comp case the insurance company threatened to come after me for medical expenditures if I ever won a lawsuit against a mesh manufacturer. An accupuncturist (?) that I told in complete confidentiality of her office told the insurance company that I was trying to get a lawsuit going against Ethicon or Bard. It cost me $45,000 for that woman telling them that. And of course I have NOT been able to get a lawsuit going. Anyway, Thanks for the info, Blair and I will keep you apprised of the outcome. Best Wishes.......
Hi how are you doing, sorry to hear about in the States you call it Workmen Comp, here Down Under we call Workers'Comp, either way your dealing with drop kick Insurers, and boy do I know how that feels. Before I had my injury which was primarily to my lower back, and resulted in major surgery with two steel cages, two rods and 12 bolts, but out of that also came the prolapsed pelvis and bowel and centre stage came Dr (Evil) White and the mesh issue. I know how you feel because my Workers'Comp is still going now for over 7 years, and our wonderful State Government, different from Federal, every state in Australia whether NSW, Qld, Vic etc has a premier, and they make up their own laws etc. Well I live in NSW, and the bastards have ripped into Workers'Comp, like it was already a shambles, and yes every worm comes crawling out if there is a sniff of compensation and wants their share, bloody disgusting. Listen sweety I tried the facebook suggestion but only saw something for a band I think, you mentioned a lawyer company who delt all lot of Cook Medical? and you were trying to get a link, all I need is the name of them, if you can?

The other thing I told you I went to another Colorectal Surgeonm, well the specialised white blood cell test took all day at the hospital what fun! I will let you know the results. Hope you get something out of your case. Take Care Son

We should all get together and start a class action lawsuit for all the category 6's(composix e/x) it seems that most of these got serious infections after implants and had to be taken out or the infection would have killed the people. I have been in touch with Davol Bard and they are trying to lay blame on the doctor, the stitches, the complex closure, not being sanitary, etc., but my father in law has had worse problems since his mesh was removed three months after the put it in to repair ventral hernia. However, I have found someone willing to "BE ON OUR SIDE" from a local news channel here in the pennsylvania/south jersey area, they have a segment of their news broadcast thats called "ON YOUR SIDE" so I wrote to them, explaining whats going on with my pop, the producer called me and said she wants to get involved on his behalf. She saw the pics of pops stomach, he looks pregnant with alien, hence alien baby name.....so if anyone here on this forum is local to northeast united states, get in touch and lets make them pay!! The producer has us getting all relevant records, then a day or two prior to me sending to Davol legal dept., she is going to call them, tell them they will go public with this story, and it can be good about davol or not.....Davol did tell me if I have records for him saying it was the mesh(which we have) but I guess they want more, and since I am not an attorney and cannot find any lawyer who will take a mesh thats not the "kugel" they probably think I will take no for an answer. WRONG DAVOL!! Hearing No after what he has been through(and everyone else) well the word NO just makes me want to push harder for justice!! So if it means "going public on tv" then thats just what we will do. Get in touch people, lets make them accountable for their crappy products!! they voluntarily recalled my pops lot # yet they say its not a recalled mesh. Wait, your company recalled that lot, but its not recalled? Am I stupid or does that just not make sense??

I need help... I had my hernia surgery done in Ohio, however I cannot locate the doctor who completed the surgery so I have no idea how to find out what type of mesh I have. I am not in severe pain, however I have uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen and where the mesh is located. I am now located in Las Vegas and would like to see if there is anything I can do... I had a friend who had a co-worker who passed away due to mesh from hernia surgery, so now I am in a panic!

Contact the hospital where the surgery was done and get a copy of your OP report. That will have the info you need. Then read previous pages of this blog.

Blair, thank you. I am calling Ellen, the producer for Stephanie Stahl on Channel 3KYW(U.S/Philly/South Jersey)to update her and give her everything we have found out as well as what has happened to people on this forum(no personal info of course unless you contact me personally). I wish there was a spot on this site where I could post Bill's(father in law) pictures of his stomach. His insides stick out 7inches from his ribs and you can watch the food go from his esophageous down through his stomach, intestines, the works. The only thing holding his internal organs in is a thin layer of dermis/epidermis(skin). When they took his infected curled up rotten composix e/x out, they put nothing back in to replace it. It is quite disturbing and he is in constant pain. A problem we seem to be having though, his surgeries(implant/explant) were done in 2006. Now its 2012 and Davol asked me why the delay? Bill moved to Pennsylvania with my brother in law and his kids in early '07 and we only spoke to him over the phone until May of 2012 when we drove up to move him back home near us.(long story). We knew he was hurting, in alot of pain, but was seeing pain doc up there and the fact is, he was once a very strong hardworking "silent" kind of man, typical with alot of men who do not let us caregiving women know they are in pain. As soon as we picked him up we asked him what was in his coat because it looked like he was carrying something underneath? He lifted his coat and shirt and our jaws hit the ground. Heartbreaking really. Thats when I started my research, trying to find lawyers(no luck since its not kugel crap) and have been diligently plugging along. Some of you may or may not know that if you go to Davol Bard website, there is a (hernia)(patient info)reimbursement page along with procedure codes and amounts for 2011,2012. Bill has two of those procedures clearly on his O.R reports which was why I was so stunned when they said his was not the kind of claim they would reimburse. Go to their site and fish around, you will find it. And please to everyone, if you have not filed a complaint to the FDA do it now. Medwatch, MAUDE, any kind you can. I will let the forum know what happens with the news story. I am looking forward to Davol Bards reaction when they find out just how far some of us are willing to go. Maybe bringing them right back in to the spotlight will wake them up to the fact that ALL of their mesh products have had detrimental consequences to the unfortunate patients who received them. Maybe the stock value could suffer some consequences and they wouldnt want that to happen since they are in this for the money.... Oh, and Bills doctor? On the run after being sued several times and owing millions for fraud. Dont know where to go with that one. One fight at a time, at least for now!

Blair, I received all my paperwork by from Johnson Law Firm. After going thru all 6" stack and 8 cd's I did not find any paper work for my last 3 surgery's. I went and got them myself from the .hospital. The mesh that was use to repair my massive hernia was a 30 x 20 cm. Proceed mesh. I was told that this mesh was also on recall. The next surgery was to repair the mesh that was folded inside me. Another hernia pop. This time the surgeon stated that he was only able to removed part of the mesh. He then use a prolene mesh. I am waiting for serial numbers for these meshes, before I can move forward with a possible new lawsuit . I am still waiting to hear back from Cory Watson Firm. I also have an attorney in Rhode Island looking at my case. I would love to do what Alien Baby is doing and have the news help all the people that Bard is throwing under the rug and stepping on. What can we do?9796

It is alarming to know that patients whose only wish is to find relief from their symptoms may be faced with serious complications including death. After all the physical and emotional damage the now-recalled faulty products may have caused to a number of patients, it may come as no surprise if some manufacturers may find it difficult to regain the trust of many consumers. It helps to know more about surgical mesh or bladder slings. There is added information at http://www.bladderslingrecall.us that may be of great help to people concerned and interested.

The reason for the delay is no one was telling the truth about the mesh and you took it upon youself to help him find out what the hell is going on. Their is proof Bard was hiding the truth and their was reports of complications that they were hiding. He will need a complete abdominal reconstruction operation to repair his new hernias that developed after his mesh was removed, i had five, and i know what the poor guy looks like. Tell him not to give up, he needs a component seperation operation but tell the surgeon to not use mesh. They can do a complete tissue repair not using mesh. Get his story out their and the phones will ring of the hook at the news station. You are not alone!

Goggle Proceed Mesh Lawsuits, you will find lots of sites and mesh info. Keep getting your paper work. Scary that any surgeon would put mesh over mesh, he should of found a surgeon that could remove it all before implanting more mesh. I am not a surgeon but common sense would tell me if it failed the first time i would be looking for another option.
