I am so sorry for your loss.
There needs to be a fire lit below someone’s butt with a life lost. To be free on bond, what is keeping him from murdering another person? With his record, which includes an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Parker Co. why was he even granted bond? There are a lot of questions which if it was my family, I would be demanding answers to. You can pull up some of his former crimes on the Parker County Records Web http://www.parkercountytx.com/ |

who is this man and where does he live on the river?
Mountain River estates? Please let me know, ANd why is he not in jail? |
His name is Robert Paul O'Steen and he is not locked up because he has political ties. |
Where did this happen? HE needs to be locked up.
It happened on Brazos Rock Road.Right in the middle of the road.He is scheduled for court, I dont know the date. |

And now it's October 30, 2012 and this murder trial has been reset again. What kind of a laughable, ridiculous court system does Parker County, TX have? This case has been delayed one month at a time for how many months now? Meanwhile Robert O'Steen and his wife Bette have moved to West Virginia and bought a house. How can a bail bond company permit someone arraigned for murder to leave the State of Texas? This is unbelievable!
Just go to: http://www.parkercountytx.com and enter "O'Steen Robert" in the criminal case search and you'll see how many times it's been reset. |
Something stinks here! If the prosecuting attorney can't get a murder trial through the system in FOUR YEARS, something is seriously wrong. Am I smelling corruption?.. or is it the odor of incompetence?

Yes- of course its corruption. Its rife with it.
I just want this man put infront of the judge for what he did to my Dad. |
WOW...I went to the website and sure enough it's been reset every single month. Sometimes twice in one month. That's such bullshit.
I'm in West Virginia. People here can't understand how the State of Texas could permit him to move to West Virginia if he has a murder trial pending. He and his wife have bought a house in Leivasy, WV and apparently feel confident that they will never pay for the death of Mr. Salter. This is simply beyond comprehension that we should have to live with a murderer from Texas living amongst us.

I just checked with the Parker County website and it shows that the O'Steen murder trial has been reset once again. It was supposed to have been today, November 26th, but now it's been reset to December 17th. If you go to the website on December 18th, you'll probably find it's been reset to around January 28th, 2013. Something is very, very wrong here.

Yes- there are some rumors that his wife is the daughter of a judge.
My Aunt carries out all of the court issues, and keeps me updated about the resets and what not regarding this as I live out of the USA now. I do not know what else to do. It does seem this man is never going to go before the judge. |

Bette O'Steen created and posted this lengthy blog about their background and experiences leading up to the murder of Mr. Salter. It was created in 2009. In it, she says she and Robert were married 15 years prior to 2009. That should indicate they were married in 1994. Maybe someone would like to search the marriage records in Parker, Tarrant and Dallas counties to see what her maiden name was and then see if she could really be the daughter of a judge. My intuition tells me that she is not the daughter of any judge.
Here's the link to the blah, blah, blah blog: http://texascorruption.blogspot.com/2009_06_0... |

Well, this was easy. The first county I checked was Tarrant County and within a minute, I found the record of their marriage. Robert Paul O'Steen married Bette Karen Brown on 09/03/1994. Now someone else can see if their was ever a "Judge Brown."

Well, as expected, the case has been reset again from today, December 17th to January 28th, 2013. Obviously, Parker County has a highly motivated, aggressive prosecuting attorney working diligently in pursuit of justice for the citizens.(SARCASM!)
