It is amazing just how little LAUSD board members undervalue teachers...We have not had a raise in years and have made huge sacrifices to help stabilize this malfunctioning district yet Monica Garcia protests at the idea of raises for us. Ms. Garcia I can not wait to volunteer to help with your reelection DEFEAT. It is time for you to GO!!

3.5% Cost of Living Increase (automatic) over so many years, yet it's never passed on to teachers. People still manage to complain about the benefits, which are compliant and have an equivalent employee contribution. Do the math, it's not a time to argue, but one should compare it to unskilled labor like constables. Education is not a business, its a social investment that is paid for by property tax. If one treats education as a business for profit, then the profits should go back to the property tax contributors.
