So what were they trying to do, divide the community up even more with a cowboy dance for hospice while the hispanics were having their banquet/dance at the eagles??? Way to change with the times and work together Lamar!!!

knowing from experience, it's very hard to plan anything in lamar on the weekend that doesnt conflict with something. i dont see how it divided the community at all. who said only cowboys could attend the dance? who said only hispanics could attend the banquet? if anyone is trying to divide the city it is people like you. honestly, i never even thought of it that way until you brought it up.

Right on Only in Lamar...as I look at the comminity calander for 2009 no date was set for Voces Unidas only the month of October but Hospice had October 17th locked in and I think that they have had that 3rd Sat in Oct for awhile...no harm because both were worthwhile functions to attend...
