The place was condemned due to bad and faulty wiring) ( the apts upstairs) there should have been no one in them. Quigley had to evict the tenets this week. Don't know why he didn't fix the problem to begin with. Maybe it's an insurance scam. Who knows. I'll I know is that place is a dump and has sever code violations. Don't know why he and other landlords buy dumps, or buy dumps and try to flip them.

It was huge! I live across the bridge and could see the flames from my window! And I am very sad that the tenants, Ethans and the Angry Bean had to suffer because of a landlords negligence to fix the wiring. Given who the landlord is..it truly doesnt suprise me.

No one knows how it started yet. Building wasn't condemned, tenants evicted in one apartment, had nothing to do with problem in building. You people need to quit spouting off bs. The Quigley hatin is getting old, especially when you lie.

Quigley would never commit a insurance scam like that when it effects someone elses business as well. Its interesting that he evicted tenants and then they building mysteriously caught on fire though.

County wants property next door. Tax payers are the County.

NO! The County is the taxpayers.

So, you don't support a private financial market? You think the government, who doesn't operate to make a profit should have first dibs on parking? Don't you think the private businesses that have invested into the downtown long before the county decided to spend millions to relocate downtown should benefit as well? Why should the county be entitled to something over a private businessperson?
As a consequence of the fire, the county has to worry about a non-functioning office building now, not more parking they are dying to get their hands on.

silly boy!

The private property owners (taxpayers) wouldn't have spent their own money on those offices without providing parking for their tenants. Taxpayers are businessmen and businesswomen, private entrepreneurs, homeowners, property owners, who have to successful budget their money in order to keep their property.

the County is a group voted to represent the needs of the taxpayers, by spending the money of the taxpayers, and often they do so at no regard to wise spending and budgeting. They do things like spend millions on renovating a building that does not provide parking, and tore down a building to add 12 parking spaces to a lot that already held nine with an erect building.

you see, taxpayers, on their own have to fend for themselves and make wise decisions. the county does not, the just have to make the decisions they want and get more money from the taxpayers. Taxpayers are the ones that create business and jobs. We could do without a large government and the taxpayers will continue to survive and thrive. The government, on the other hand, can do nothing without the taxpayers.

Therefore, the County is the Taxpayers, but the taxpayers are not just the county.
