Obama's VP Irrelevant, Barack Needs Two Things, To Win

Vice President for Obama, coming into the weekend, is not a real traction issue. Obama has gaffed his way around the world, over the last three to six weeks. When first starting out, the man of Hope & Change he swore to be, speaking out for the lower and middle class, and would also be transparent and a "for the people" candidate. The Democratic Nominee, for over five weeks now, has lost ground to John McCain.
I live in a battle ground state/swing state, Missouri. Every time John McCain says anything close to negative, calls him out, or even says something true, but can be construed as negative, Obama hits back, with an ad of his own and/or worse he speaks out. So much for being positive, everyone can see the negative ads and your two faced candidacy. After securing the Dem. Nomination, he would have a complete and candid look at his policies. No again, changing his stance on the Capital Gains Tax four times. The tit-for-tat attitude (on McCain), vacillating on issues like taxes, abortion issues (Saddleback Church Interview), completely forgetting about Dr. Jeremiah Wright("His spiritual mentor and someone who he could not denounce, or it would be like denouncing the whole black community") are by the way side, along with several other barnacles.
Obama needs two things to win. Obama's handlers need to lay off. Susan Davis coming out with the comments first, on Georgia. Then Obama giving a soft Euro answer and "let cooler heads prevail," made him look very weak. Barack need not hide and go negative. When McCain is speaking out and acting. Obama has to be a real person, to American voters, not a same old politician. Every opportunity, Obama should take, personally and speak himself. His charisma, speaking in front of a TelePrompTer on fresh issues, and constant policy talk, will sound better than anything coming out of McCain. The democratic base will stick with him (regardless) and the independents want someone to believe in. By the time independents know Obama can't capitalize on all he has promised, he will be President. The President of the United States is the most powerful man in the world, he still has only limited power, in the geographical landscape.
The second thing, to win, is stop going negative. The American people are not want another "swift boat," or cry baby politician. It is just tedious. He needs to speak in fresh and not all friendly venues. Then speak out on specific issues (giving the most specific answers) on the issue, and finally come back to being the positive candidate (showing the candidate who beat the Clinton Machine). He has to speak out on drilling, jobs, go back to health care (Obama has not spoken on health care, and gotten any news/media coverage on it in over a month), and finally he "must" speak out on the issues Republicans (who are socially independent) and Independents want to hear. Obama has to tell that group, he will never abandon them, health care will save the middle class, he is pro gun, stay away from abortion, and make sure he is the candidate they once saw and believed in.
The VP candidate is irrelevant. Seeing Obama responding to ads from McCain every other commercial, while Claire McCaskill and I are watching Michael Phelps win gold after gold is nothing more than tedious. Ditch the handlers, come out with free flowing speeches, such as, against Hillary (not to mention bury Hillary and Bill after the convention), and quit responding to McCain's negative ads. Be your own man, stand up for the issues people want to hear again, and finally "BE THE BIGGER PERSON/CANDIDATE AND FOLLOW THRU ON THE PROMISE YOU ONCE MADE." "I am not the politician of days of old, and I will make our country great and strong again thru my policies, my beliefs, and thru what you want."
