KENTUCKY IS FAR, FAR FROM BEING A REPUBLICAN STATE. GRANTED MOST OF THE STATE WENT FOR THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE LAST TIME, BUT LOCALLY IT STILL EXISTS IN THE DARK AGES.

But in N. Ky where we are ranked the fastest growing area of the state and one of the most desirable places to live and work, yes, it is republican dominated for the most part.

Now, get back to explaining why years of democrat dominated politician machinery has left a tremendous shortfall to the class of workers they are supposed to be representing, and why is it up to the tax payers to pay the price or the burden of their shenanigans. I will await an answer.

GO AHEAD AND VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE- if you support baby killers, economic redistributionists, socialists and communists this administration is aligned with them- plus more Muslim Brotherhood members than any previous administration.

But don't let the facts get in your way of making a decision that may alter the course of america come november- after all we are better off now than 4 years ago- mmmmmm?.

YES we are better off than 4 years ago. The question ,deputy , is will be better off in 4 years if we don't reelect him. The answer is a resounding F U C K N O.

This has nothing to do with abortion , that law was decided when I was barely out of diapers 40 years ago. It isn't about whether homos can marry. This is just more conservative DIVERSION.

1. Economically_ Better than 2008.. Hard to be any worse.

2. Militarily_ Out of Iraq . BETTER

3. Job rate- Still sucks , better than 2008 by a smidge.

4. Housing values- This was trending downward after being over inflated. personal responsibility is a libertarian thing. I bought my house in 2011 .

5. Salaries- Stagnant as they have been for decades.

6. Taxation what will change between now and 2014 - If democrats get their way it will be better , republicans are trying to block it to make themselves look better

7. Health care- what is the total cost of ObamaCare and how ill it be paid? NOBODY KNOWS , I think it is a shitty law watered down by republicans and democrats not having the balls to stand for what they believe in and should have been a single payer.

8. Advantages of socialized medicine versus privatized medicine. People treated based on need vs based on the best insurance. Doctors that think you are medicaid because you go to the ER treat you like crap until you pull out the Blue Cross card.

9. What is the implication of ObamaCare mandates upon organized religion. Screw organized religion they don't pay taxes and I don't subscribe to any of their belief systems.

10. Do you belong to a union NO , I have belonged to SIEU (SEIU?) and CWA in the past , I did not appreciate them telling me who to vote for just as I don't appreciate you.

11. are you a food stamp recipient- I have 4 drug babies in my home but make too much to qualify for SNAP

12. Why are you a democrat, what led you to the party. I AM NOT A DEMOCRAT , I AM A GDI. What led me to Obama was W, Bunning and Bitch McConnell.

13. What is your rationale for the states' underfunded pension to the state and local employees and who is responsible. Politicians taking money that wasn't theirs? I don't follow KY politics , I couldn't even tell you who Mark Martin in the Aaron's dream machine beat for governor last time.

14. What is your position on coal utilization for energy and what would you replace it with and what would be your plan for conversion. We need to get out while we can. SOLAR should have been done decades ago. We discussed it in Rodney Stanley's electrical classes in the Lloyd Cassity building in the early 90's.

15. Why I have no moral problems with women killing their unborn children. I am pro-life. Murder should be made legal after they're born and you see what a knucklehead they become.

16. I am a christian- yes or no. NO I don't believe in fairy tales told by delusional Jews.

17. I support the legalization of all drugs. yes or no. NO , see the post where I have 4 extra kids because of drugs. You walk the floor with newborn twins going through opiate withdrawls. I am for capital punishment for drug abusers.

18. I pay into state and federal taxes, and receive no state or federal assistance- yes or no. I have paid more to state than federal thanks to W and Obama . With 4 extra dependents this year I should not be paying much to federal.

This article appeared recently claiming the state has excess money; yet in the Ky Enquirer paper it says the state is facing a $19 billion shortfall in the Ky state and local government retirees pension.

Ky has long been a democrat state, so you can cry about republicans causing the problem. The state has a surplus and it goes to a rainy day fund- not the to pay down the pensions of its workers as it has promised its retirees.

The net effect on this action to the people of the state will be either a reduction in services or a higher income tax to help make up for the pension deficit or renegotiate contracts as in the same case as Wisconsin has recently endured. This is the case of a government growing bigger at the expense of the retirees and Kentuckians.

This problem is going to how massively worse as unions have negotiated cadillac pension plans and the states and local government cannot fund these plans due to the current economy, also a democrat effect.

Any union folks, libs and democrats want to stick up for the state and the fact they aren't shifting money over to fund your pension? Sorta like the democrat promised social security lock box we have been promised all the years.

Kentucky projects $64 million surplus by end of June
Published: May 3, 2011

By Beth Musgrave — bmusgrave@herald-leader.com

FRANKFORT — The state is projecting a $64 million surplus in its General Fund for the fiscal year that ends June 30, according to a report released Monday by the state budget office.

The state's revenues — taxes and fees — are growing faster than estimates lawmakers used to craft Kentucky's two-year budget. Still, state officials were cautious Monday, saying that any surplus will first go to pay for emergencies, such as clean-up costs associated with last week's storms that ravaged much of Western Kentucky.

>>>>The legislature already has mandated that any excess funds not used for emergencies must go into the state's rainy day fund, which has been depleted as the state's revenues took a nose dive during the past three years.

According to the Third Quarterly Report on the state's revenues, much of the increase over the official estimate was a result of an increase in coal severance taxes. The total projected surplus is expected to be $97.3 million, but a portion of coal severance tax money is returned to local governments in the areas where coal is mined. That means about $31.1 million will be returned to the counties, resulting in a projected surplus of $64.6 million in the state's General Fund.

AND NOW OBAMA WILL LET CORPORATIONS GET AWAY WITH CONTRIBUTING LESS TO YOUR PENSIONS...

Canada is not unique, and as in the United States, generous public sector pensions are a hot-button issue. But the federal government is taking a more hands-off stance than***>>>> U.S. President Barack Obama, who signed a bill last month that changes how companies calculate what they must contribute to their pension funds, effectively allowing them to pay less. <<<<<

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
