Anyone ever heard of black panthers around paragon on cave run? I was down there one night and I know I heard one scream.
I have seen, and witnessed a black panther. She also denned up on our hill with two cubs that we could count not 30 yards from our home last year. she only stayed for a week or so, but she is spotted every year. I have also seen them hit on 64 going toward lexington, around the sharky area. There was one spotted in the middle of 64 right out of the area they were doing the blasting at the flying J outside of ashland. They are here.

Me and my father in law came across some mountain lion tracks yesterday in the Clack Mountain area near Amburgy Rocks. And before you go flapping your jaws he was a professional guide in Montana most of his life. Looked like big dog tracks to me, but I guess he knows what his is doing. Maybe that is what has been getting my damn chickens. I thought it way coyotes.

Strange, but I saw something that looked like what I thought were bear tracks, but I looked them up in a book and they may have been mountain lion tracks .. hell or Big Foot .. like I know. All I know they were real and the size of a freaking small plate .... never seen a dog that big. The toes were very pronounced (don't remember how many toes) and no claws I could see. I am not exactly a track expert, but I know something different when I see it ... a row of them kinda offset funny spaced like something was running in the snow. BIG as a small plate .. like six inches wide. No melt .. fresh snow. Had to have come by that morning as nothing was melting. This was up the Sheltowee from the visitor station. The track came from up the hill .. followed the trail about 100 feet, then went off down the draw .. looked like it was moving on because the back tracks were close to the front tracks (if I am reading it right) and they were probably 3 or 4 feet apart ... spaced together maybe separated by a food. Groups of tracks together offset by a few inches maybe 3 or 4 feet apart.

Big a plates ... that is what freaked me out. Clearly defined toes. Crisp tracks in the snow. I hate to admit it, but I got scared and came home. I am a pussy without a gun.

My daughter and I saw a black panther on US 60 about three miles down the road from Crossroads School in Bath Co.about two months ago .We had taken my grandchilden to school because they missed the bus and on the way back @about twenty feet in front us a black panther walked out of a field. Its body was as long as one half of the road with a tail about three feet long it trotted across the road and leaped on a hill and it was gone.I called the Forest Service as soon as I got home and they said they would check it out.

Saw a mountain lion in my back yard in Hazard Kentucky on the hill at the airport. It was in the morning my husband, nephew and I saw it just walking in our back yard. We are out away from a lot of houses and wooded areas are around the back yard. We also have salt block out as we like to watch the deer. Watched the cat for about 20 minutes I was amazed. Called the Wildlife and they denied them being in KY but they did say they had been having a lot of citings. This was about two years ago and we have not seen it again.

My mom and I were driving back to Lex from a visit to Martin Co. yesterday. I know we were past Ashland because we were on I-64, but not sure exactly where we were. There was a mountain lion that had been run over on the side of the road! So the Wildlife people that are denying they exist probably need to go do some investigating up in the hills. My mom says that back 25 years ago when we lived in Martin Co, there used to not be any bears or mountain lions, but they have been repopulating in more recent years. If my mom knows that, you'd think the Wildlife people could figure it out.

I have seen one at the Red River Gorge! We were hiking and it was on the ridge just looking at us. This was almost 3 years ago. At first we thought it was a HUGE dog, we got a picture but it was in the distance and if you zoom in you can see it plain as day! So anyway, the answer is yes. we have the, at least at the gorge.

The are here alright. The KY dept. of Wildlife is trying to keep a lid on it just like they tried to keep a lid on the bears and coyotes returning to eastern ky. Too many sightings by normal people for it not to be true. Let's not forget EVERYBODY saw the one at Tilden Hogge school a few years back.

Now what has me confused ... is all this recent gibberish about Bigfoot being in on Clack Mountain. Gimme a break! Bears I can buy, mountain lions yes, but a Bigfoot??

A sub-adult mountain lion just got killed in the road in Mason county. There are pictures floating around and it was in the Cincy paper. They seem to be breeding.
