Let's talk about the difference between being "poor" and being "trash." Poverty, or being "poor" can be a good thing. Everyone should be "poor" at least once in his or her life because it humbles people and helps them develop the ability to be happy and appreciative for what they have. "Poor" people are often the ones who become the hardest workers, and they recognize "real" need and when to offer a helping hand. Poor people find ways to give back. "Trash" is another thing altogether. "Trash" stinks and "dirties up" what is beautiful around it, just like many of the trashy people who spew filth on this site. Trashy people like to get low into the muck and bring others down with them. They will only work hard at taking what they haven't earned, then bite the hand that feeds them. When help is needed, trash will not be found because it will be busy wallowing in squalor and "deteriorating" your youth behind your back while you're working. So many people are tired of the trash that is "stinking up" this town, as they have indicated on this website. I believe that many will agree to "chip in" on THE BUS. When it pulls into this town, ask yourself whether you are poor or trash. If you answer the second, GET ON!

Thank Goodness someone has sense.:) Very well said. So many times people assume that, "trash," has everything to do with your financial status in life. However, that's incorrect. Again, well said.

I agree! I say this all the time. Poor is a financial situation, trash is a lifestyle. I have wonderful friends who don't have two dimes to rub together, but they do their best to work and give back, they don't neglect their children, they aren't spending what little bit of money they have on drugs, and the biggest thing is, they don't act ENTITLED! You are exactly right! I have no problem with poor people, because I was one. I have a big problem, however, with trash!

You ladies ( I presume)
Are the few smart intelligent ones on this site well said my town you keep up the good work and you my dear will get a Star. Some people work their asses off to get what they have and give back to the community. Others just sit on there lazy asses and type rude and obnoxious comments about others to make themselves feel better.
Keep up the positive!

P.s. who in the heck is this Doug Moats he is everywhere on here running his chops!

I have decided that the day for the loading and departure of THE BUS should be 4/20. Those who need to be on"bord" will be more identifiable on that particular day. Does anyone know where we can get a cheap bus?(Believe me, on 4/20, these passengers won't mind or even notice the condition of THE BUS.) Perhaps John Bord has confiscated one; I will check in the Bulletin "Bord." Now, if you're a harmless cheeba smoker who is pot going, I mean NOT going to try to get me to go along with legalization of "the herb," so that you can get another "entitlement" from my hard work, do not be confused...you do not necessarily have to go. If you're like Otis or the Baldwin sisters (some of you may have to look those characters up, while others will know exactly to whom I'm referring) you may just be harmless.(Every town has 'em,'ya know.) It won't bother me if you stay, but I can't speak for everyone. Any thoughts or discussion? If not, "All a'Bord" on 4/20!

. Wow you really are all over the place too ... I agree wholeheartedly with most of your arguement... especially likeing the reference to povety being virtuous as it certainly can be I've found if it moves you in creative ways. I do like to be creative... I also kinda like the 4/20 reference as for me it will always be a very special holiday from now on I don't mind tellin ya.

I guess the best lesson poverty teaches in my book is that the rich are often the poorest of spirit. And as I have reinterpreted my beliefs extensively I too have come to know the truth that you overlooked... the rich trash I guess would be the best verbiage to fit into this context. They do indeed exist. Often the most felonious and entitled of trash that can inded be. I learned that when I worked in Baltimore housing projects painting over gang graffitt . Ironically right before the feds indighted 16 housing officials contractors and even a counselman for accepting bribes... iy was great fun really watching commisioner Henson And the Mayor Scmoke squirm when thrir buddies and brothers in law had to pay those federal funds back... and ecplain how they defrauded funds intended to help the poorest of the poor. Dan Rodricks even wrote a beautifull article about me while I was stirring the pot right before it all went down. Anyway... only arguement ill give you on this is save some room on the back of the buss for folk like that.

Do you sometimes feel like you're the only one to see the despair? Because you're not. Many of us have seen things that would make us want to run for the hills and curse humanity. It sounds like you recognize that it's not just in Grafton, WV. But if you let it absolutely eat away at you, as it seems you are, you might as well throw your hands up and quit living. You've got to make the best efforts you can to make this world and your life better. As long as you're doing that, that's all you can do. Find a way to let some of it go. Keep pursuing what your heart tells you to, but don't make yourself or those around you absolutely miserable over it. That doesn't help. Unlike people on here who don't like their hair cut, but act like they've been scarred for life (when all they need to do is go to a different shop), you seem to have a real dilemma. Maybe you just need to leave this whole place behind and start fresh. Whatever you choose to do, find a way to balance it all: Seek and find more good than bad. It's out there, I promise.(Not on this site, though.):)

Before anyone complains about my politics...know a couple things 1 the day I ran my mouth to every newsstation in Baltimore was the day the noi nation of islam as in Louis Farrakhans personal army took over security at the project towers...no really...they were given the no bid contract even though they were the highest bidder. I was pissed... and when this person with them dared to tell me in his thick northafrican islamic accent don't I dare talk to the press....of course I did over a small legal technicality ironically to wit two years later I was proven correct...... go figure

Marlene Newlon...

PS hoe bout dem ravens? Or that dam train or strays...roflmao... to you all bitchn bout ip addresses....FEDS don't need to pay for ip searches...private civil suits are a whole different ballgame from Federal Criminal Investigations... Duhhhhhhhh

PS. They "couldn't care less" about little guys like potsmokers or petty nonviolent criminals... What turns em on is nailing corrupt officials and their criminal associates...so dont worry so much if you got nothin to hide...unless your klan, a state, county, municipal employee or a militia leader...then your pretty much doomed if you ain't talkin !!!
