Our nation's infrastructure rots away, while Bush and the Neocons spend your tax money on wars against innocent people who have done us no wrong.

Don't be so lazy. Our nation's infrastructure has been rotting away since before "neocons" ever came into being, and Bush was pounding beers at Yale.

Sorry for the loss of life in this accident. Hope other similiar possibilities will be rectified before any more injuries or loss of life take place.

I am upsett about the tragic loss of my dear cousin, Lisa Mendez. She was a very kind-hearted person and would do anything for anyone, I just don't understand how some owners could just let their property deteriate and not take care of their properties! I have 2 words to say about what happened! Law suit! SInce her 2 sons now do not have a mother, they need to make it somehow in this life! I know it will not bring her back, but they need some financial support for their future!

having intimate knowledge of the events that took place, citizens may find it interesting to know that before the owner of these properties bought them, the city had not inspected them at all for 4 years, yet let them be rented. Incidentally the city did in fact inspect that very locations (((one week prior)) to the incident and did not find them a danger. I could not feel worse about this, yet all fault does not rest on the shoulders of the owner. My deepest sympathies.

My brother was dating Lisa when this happened and his two friends were there my brother came away from that accident but still to this day is very severely hurt by this accident. It is totally on the landlord and the city because they allowed this to happen. David and Rikki both pressed lawsuits against the city and settled for very little just enough to cover there mothers funeral arrangments and burial because they did not want to live off of other money for the rest of there lives they knew there mother would not want that for them.

This incident was no accident... the fact that the city settled and paid at all proves this! The fact is the cellar that collapsed was cinder blocked to hide the fact it was collapsing by the previous owner who's relationship with the city/county allowed him to hide this problem while he rented buildings out for 5 years without ever obtaining rental certificates or paying city fees..
I guess wayne overlooked this accidently?

Like the dozens of other collapsing structures owned by the city and their associates. Ask Chastitys mom who she blames.. this hot potato was passed off with the citys approval... and the problem intentionally hidden under the citys nose before they apprived it as perfectly safe BEFORE the new owner bought it only a year before it collapsed..... its called fraud! That is why the city settled!

If you all don't know how corrupt the crooks that run your county are... this should spell it out plainly for you.... and none of this was ever printed in the news ...imagine that.

Sincere condolences to everyone effected by this... their were many.

Wayne was also " in charge" of this "investigation" hence why he was on the phone with john bord " who transfered the deed" at 6am discussing charging the landlord with negligent manlaughter.... its also interesting that given wayne WAS in charge that at least 6 witnesses that incidently called 911 and overheard wayne laughing about charging the owner were NOT INCLUDED AS WITNESSES ON THE OFFICIAL POLICE REPORT...hmmm

I'm amazed this same building with a hidden collapsing room that the cuty knows about is for sale... again... and the city cares not one bit...kind of puts the whole thing into a different perspective doesn't it?

Contact Marlene Newlin at New Ray Realty... a subsidiary of the city of grafton if youd like to own this historic site for just $125,000.00 its a killer property to add to your portfolio...

well I have been doing some research since just about 20 to 30 percent of property belongs to one or the other of many LLC's (limited liability companies ) which basically when property is owned by a LLC it is difficult to sue and get any money from that company or corporation, not necessarily impossible although truly difficult.
There are other benefits to LLC's as well depending on whether they are individually owned or more than one person owns them.
this is guaranteed by law. to protect the owner.

I respect the law because that was the way I was raised,,, although sometimes by some persons the law is used and bent to the extremes and borders on illegal dealings if not carefully watched.

more creative investigations are needed and hopefully will be followed up on, in the near future.

Interestingly some llcs that own proprty atent recognized by the law... in grafton... perhaps marlene nrwlon taught wayne beall what an llc is, and magistrate lucas too... I know of one llc that owed the city fire fees so the city refused to allow that individual to get city water in property not even owned by the llc..
Among numerous other examples showing discriminatory practices targeting this individual by both city and county officals that were less than legal... ignoring the fact that the llc was the owner to harass the llcs owner...FACT!!

And yet some llcs are allowed to sell condemned property without even maintaining any safety codes whatsoever, or any such harassment....interesting

I respect the law when those that are supposed to be enforcing it do... however that is not the case among many officials in taylor county and grafton... if a cop ectorts money from you its legal in grafton too cuz no authority would stop their lodge brothers thieving... cop or not... its legal for the prosecuter to accept campaign contributions too.. and ignore murders he doesn't want to be bothered prosecuting... or prosecute robberies against individuals that confessed to it...if it so happens the victim is on the corruption clubs target list... and has a ton of property they want...

I have no respect for such so called officers of the court or enforcers of ( the laws they make up as they go)

The issue here my friends is racketeering ... even the armor of a corporation such as the city of Grafton or ANY CORPORATION and its officers can be penetrated by proving they are involved in ongoing criminal enterprise... then even john bord and all his and his associates assets would be comprimised.

These shady deals have numerous papertrails and are evidenced further by court records and city records proving which companies or persons are targeted for prosecution and harassment ... and witch flagrant violators of law are allowed to operate with complete immunity... wull it suprise anyone that those companies immune from law enforcment gappen to have partners within city and county government... I tbink not

Will it suprise anyone that these corpotlrations partners within city and county government profit indirectly and directly by enforcing the law till it bends and breaks against individuals who's real estate they eventually aquire???? While simultaneously overlooking flagrant violations of law commited by their corporate partners???? I think not!!!

This wil not be as difficult to prove as some may think... it will however take cooperation among the numerous victims of said misconduct... their are many if anyone is unaware, beaten into submission by selective prosecution and worse... these criminals would have good reason to stay hidden in their offices and staying tight lipped for the first time in their lives if ever the multitudes effected by their corruption united.
