Gerald Wetherbee was given the keys to the Kia by Nicole Balak of Elyria. Wetherbee had crashed Baleks Satern (sp?) earlier this spring. you would think Balek would hsve forbidden Wetherbee from driving the Kia that she had to buy to replace the vehicle he crashed the first time. Balek should be jailed along side "her man", she knew he had drank a large amount of liquer as well as beer. She stated; "What was I supposed to do? I did'nt want to argue with him.." What kind of example is this for her 13 year old son? She was more upset by the way people commented on line than about the Tomesheki family. How can she even justify this to her son? Shame on Nicole Balek. She will face sentencing for her part in this accident on August eleventh. I hope she gets what she deserves; a prison sentence and her son taken away from her. Maybe then she would care about the loss of Tomesheki family!!

What we need to remember is that more than one family is experiencing trauma right now. If you don't fully know the situation, and the press is releasing the same story over and over with no new information, we really should not judge her. As human beings, we are destined to screw up. Human error is inevitable! We should lesten to history and not judge a person until we trully walk a mile in their shoes.

I realize both families are experiencing pain right now however,"human error inevitability" does not apply here. Wetherbee already had twice made "human errors". When does "human error" and just stupidity cross the line? The Tomeshekis did nothing wrong and are suffering. When will they people responsible for this think about the shoes that family are walking in?

You are absolutely right, the Tomasheski's didn't do anything. However, what did Nicole do? She is at home, protecting her children from the press, worrying about what lies the prosecution may invent to include her, and she told him he wasnt allowed to use her car in the first place

Hey brn, get off your high horse and stop judging other people. Something terrible happend and now you seem to want to play God and judge other people. From the way you talk you seem to know Nicole personally which I highly doubt you do, and you show alot of class by involving her 13 year old kid in the conversation. I suppose that you believe that when something is written online it is all concrete truth. Its a tragedy what happen to both families and yes Nicole was an idiot for not being more aware of the people that surround her but she couldn't control that man's actions just like I can't control your words of hate and filth

The internet is a wicked format for sure. I apologize to all involved. My sources were flawed. No concrete quotes or facts. Sorry Nicole Balek and family

To Hello123, Obviously you must know Balek if you are sticking up for an ACCESSORY to MURDER!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who stands by this a*****e is a loser. I was not wrong and I stand by my first statement and I apologize for nothing!!! She is a very selfish person who only worries about herself. She would step on her own family if it suits her needs.

All I have to say is, Thank you to hello123 for what you said. And to anyone who will slam Nicole, well shame on you. My heart breaks for ALL involved. For the Tomasheski family especially. Losing someone, no matter how is such a hard ordeal. No one can know what they're going through, unless you've been throigh it.....I've sat by, listened and read all this crap being thrown out there. I don't know Nicole, personally, but I know the Wetherbee family. And it's totally changed me on my way of thinking. No one, on this earth has the right to judge anyone. Everyone has made mistakes. And everything you read about is not absolute truth. Everyone one of us, should keep God in our hearts and keep all families involved in this in our prayers. I'm not taking away anything from the pain the Tomasheski's have and will go through. But at the same time, you should not judge what you do not know.
